By Believing God, Believing His Word!
By Riqui Ricón*
One day some parents brought their
little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the
disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him. (16)
Then Jesus called the children
over and said to the disciples,
“Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these
children. (17) I tell you the truth, anyone who
doesn’t receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” (Luke 18:15- 17, NLT)
In your Bible reading program
for the year, you have here the master key that
opens the door and gives you access to the Kingdom of God. However, to
understand and be able to make the correct use of this key, you must first
understand what Jesus
is referring to when He speaks of the Kingdom
of God.
And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables,
and said, (2) The
kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his
son, (3) And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the
wedding: and they would not come. (Matthew 22:1-3, KJV)
1.
The Kingdom of God is NOT a
physical place but a System of Government. It is God's System of Government
based on Love and Grace. The Constitution or Supreme Charter
that governs the Kingdom
of God IS the Bible.
2.
All human beings are called to be part of the Kingdom of God; however, not everyone wants to enter and
be part of It.
He was in the world, and the world
was made by him, and the world knew him not. (11) He came unto his own, and his
own received him not. (12) But as many as received
him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
(13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the
will of man, but of God. (John 1:10-13, KJV)
The New Living Translation of the Bible
expresses it this way:
He came into the very world
he created, but the world didn’t recognize
him.
(11) He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. (12) But to all who
believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
(13) They are reborn—not with a physical
birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes
from God. (John 1:10-13, NLT)
3.
Citizenship in the Kingdom of God
is obtained by FAITH—that is, by believing God, believing His Word, that Jesus
Christ made you righteous by dying on the cross, paying for ALL your sins. He sanctified (chose)
and perfected you by rising again, overcoming sin and death. Being the
firstborn Son of God Born Again, He granted you the same right and privilege
through FAITH, believing what God says in His Word: That He loves you so much
He preferred to give up His own Son
rather than lose you. It is through this FAITH that you are Born Again, no
longer as an ordinary human being, but as an authentic and genuine Child of
God.
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16,
KJV)
4.
Eternal Life (living forever)
is the exclusive right and attribute of the
King's Children, who are the Children of God.
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom
of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God
cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo
there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luke
17:20-21, KJV)
5.
As we have already established, the
Kingdom of God IS NOT a physical place and it is already
among us: It is the here and now. It is the present
time that you are already living.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law [Thy Word]
is the truth. (Psalm 119:142, KJV)
6.
It is governed
by a Just and compassionate King: God.
The kingdom of heaven
is like unto a certain
king, which made a marriage
for his son, (3) And sent forth his servants to call them that were
bidden to the
wedding: and they would not come.
(4) Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden,
Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all
things are ready: come unto the marriage. (5) But they made light of it, and went their
ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: (6) And
the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. (Matthew
22:2-6, KJV)
7.
Despite your sins, failures,
and mistakes, God is insistently inviting you to be part of His Kingdom.
Come now, and let us reason
together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be
red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah
1:18, KJV)
8.
In the Kingdom of God, your sins
are NOT important; what matters is your decision to BELIEVE and accept the price that has already
been paid for all of them.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one can come to the
Father except through me.” (John 14:6, NLT)
9.
There is only one way to enter the Kingdom of God, and it is through the sacrifice of Jesus.
And when the king came in to see
the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: (12) And he
saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?
And he was speechless. (13) Then said the king
to the servants, Bind him hand and foot,
and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(Matthew 22:11-13, KJV)
10. It
is not possible to enter the King's Presence if you are not dressed in your identity
as a Born Again Child
of God. With royal garments,
washed and made white by the Blood of the Lamb!
But seek ye first the kingdom
of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33, KJV)
11.
The Kingdom of God is established through FAITH in a daily and
continuous process.
Now, although these are only a few characteristics of the Kingdom
of God, you will understand that these—and all
others you may find in the Bible—are only accessible to those who, like
children, can simply believe God by believing His Word.
And Jesus called a little child
unto him, and set him in the midst of them, (3) And said, Verily I say unto
you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom
of heaven. (Matthew 18:2-3,
KJV)
By dint of living in this world's system,
the minds and attitudes of adult human beings become critical, suspicious, and
unbelieving. Since the original sin (which gave birth to this corrupt system
called "the world") was unbelief in God's Word—God said, "do not
eat of this tree because you will die"; the serpent said, "you will not die"—from then until now, the dilemma
remains the same: God says one
thing and Satan, or the world, says another. Which of the two tells the Truth?
Which of the two will I believe? It is no wonder God uses simple logic: Only those
who believe Me, as a child believes their father, will be able to enter and participate in
the Kingdom of God.
Be careful for nothing; but in
every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests
be made known unto God. (7) And the peace of
God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7, KJV)
The Good News is that if you have already
accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are now legally and authentically a Born Again
Child of God. All
God asks of you is to trust Him, just as a child would trust a Father who loves
them.
And shall not God avenge his own
elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? (8) I tell you that he will avenge
them speedily. Nevertheless
when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke
18:7-8, KJV)
According
to the Bible, which is the Word of God and does not lie, and through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus, you
are now 그 chosen Child whom God will NOT delay in answering.
O Lord of hosts,
blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
(Psalm 84:12,
KJV)
So, whatever you are facing
today, be happy.
You have a Father who loves you and takes care of you, and He is none
other than the Almighty God.
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved Heavenly Father, on this day, I
believe and receive the Love You have for me. Today, as a beloved child, I can
declare with FAITH that You, Lord, are my shepherd and I shall not want. You
make me lie down in green pastures; You lead me beside the still waters. You
restore my soul; You lead me in the paths of righteousness for Your name's
sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear
no evil: for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort
me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; You anoint my
head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life, and in Your house, in Your Presence, I will dwell for
all Eternity. Because of this, and because You say it in Your Word, the Bible,
I am determined to come out as more than a conqueror over all the challenges,
problems, and afflictions I am facing.
Because of Your Love and Your Word, I am
convinced that I am Your Beloved Child and that You have never left me and will never leave me. Therefore, I will
give an answer to those who reproach me, for I have trusted in Your Word. I
will not pay attention to how loud the circumstances of my life scream, but I
will listen to the Truth of Your Word, for that is where I obtain the Victory
by believing You, as a child would believe a Father who loves them. Today I
want to be especially aware of Your great Love with which You loved me, for
even while I was dead in trespasses and sins, You gave me Life together with
Christ. By grace I am saved! Lord Jesus, I know that by dying for me on that
cross You paid for ALL my sins, and therefore You have made me righteous before
the Father to be adopted as His Child according to the good pleasure of His
Will.
Thank You so much for that! Now I know who I am: a Born Again Child of God;
Born Again to triumph. No problem, sickness, or circumstance can ever speak
louder than the Truth. Your Word is Truth! I
will not allow fear, doubt, discouragement, condemnation, or shame to lead me down the path of error. I am Your Child, oh God, and You are my
Father! Nothing and no one can undo this: I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me! In ALL things I am more than a conqueror through Him who
loved me, Christ Jesus! Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the
world! My God shall supply ALL my needs according to His riches in glory! This
is all the good You have done for me, according to Your Word. In the name of
Jesus. Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God
Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the
entire Bible.
January 23 Luke 18.1-17
/ Genesis 29.31-30.43 / Psalm 23 Luke
18 And he spake a parable
unto them to this end, that men ought always
to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge,
which feared not God, neither
regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying,
Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though
I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because
this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him,
though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of
man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they
were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the
other a publican.
11 The Pharisee
stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I
am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing
afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his
breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather
than the other: for every one that exalteth himself
shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but
when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such
is the kingdom of God.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever
shall not receive
the kingdom of God as a
little child shall in no wise enter therein.
Genesis
31 And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but
Rachel was barren.
32 And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love
me.
33 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard I was hated, he hath therefore
given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.
34 And she conceived
again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my
husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was
his name called Levi.
35 And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD:
therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
30 And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me
children, or else I die.
2 And Jacob's
anger was kindled
against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee
the fruit of the womb?
3 And she said, Behold
my maid Bilhah,
go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have
children by her.
4 And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.
5 And Bilhah
conceived, and bare Jacob a son.
6 And Rachel
said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and
hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
7 And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again,
and bare Jacob
a second son.
8 And Rachel
said, With great
wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister,
and I have prevailed: and she
called his name Naphtali.
9 When Leah saw that she had left bearing,
she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife.
10 And Zilpah
Leah's maid bare Jacob a son.
11 And Leah said, A troop cometh:
and she called his name
Gad.
12 And Zilpah
Leah's maid bare Jacob a second son.
13 And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she
called his name Asher.
14 And Reuben
went in the days of wheat harvest,
and found mandrakes in the field, and
brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray
thee, of thy son's mandrakes.
15 And she said unto
her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also?
And Rachel said, Therefore he
shall lie with thee to night for thy son's mandrakes.
16 And Jacob came out of the field in the evening,
and Leah went out to meet
him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my
son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.
17 And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare Jacob the fifth son.
18 And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because
I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his
name Issachar.
19 And Leah conceived again,
and bare Jacob
the sixth son.
20 And Leah said,
God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his
name Zebulun.
21 And afterwards she bare a daughter, and called her name Dinah.
22 And God remembered Rachel,
and God hearkened
to her, and opened her womb.
23 And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:
24 And she called his name Joseph;
and said, The LORD shall add to me another
son.
25 And it came to
pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.
26 Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served
thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service
which I have done thee.
27 And Laban
said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour
in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the
LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.
28 And he said, Appoint
me thy wages, and I will give it.
29 And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy
cattle was with me.
30 For it was little
which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed
thee since my coming: and now
when shall I provide for mine own house also?
31 And he said, What shall
I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou
shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock.
32 I will pass
through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled
and spotted cattle,
and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the
spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.
33 So shall my
righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted
among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with
me.
34 And Laban
said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word.
35 And he removed
that day the he goats that were
ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some
white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.
36 And he set three days' journey
betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the
rest of Laban's flocks.
37 And Jacob took him rods of green poplar,
and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them,
and made the white appear which was in the rods.
38 And he set the
rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering
troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.
39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought
forth cattle ringstraked,
speckled, and spotted.
40 And Jacob did separate
the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks
toward the ringstraked, and
all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves,
and put them not unto Laban's cattle.
41 And it came to
pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle
in the gutters, that they might
conceive among the rods.
42 But when the cattle were feeble,
he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.
43 And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle,
and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.
Psalm
23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh
me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still
waters.
3 He restoreth
my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his
name's sake.
4 Yea, though
I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest
a table before me in the presence
of mine enemies: thou
anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness
and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will
dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
