It is God that girdeth
me with strength, and maketh
my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and
setteth me upon my high places. He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of
steel is broken by mine arms (Psalm 18:32–34, KJV).
Every time I read Psalm 18, I cannot help
but remember the promise God made to establish a New Covenant with us—a
covenant that could not be invalidated by our mistakes or sins and that, therefore, would allow God to
pour out His love and blessings upon our lives.
Think about it carefully: the New Covenant
does not depend on you or me, nor
on our actions, but on the Word of the One who gave His life out of love for you.
But now hath he obtained a more
excellent ministry, by how much also he is the
mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For
if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been
sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days
come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of
Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made
with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of
the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I
will make with the house of Israel
after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be
to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his
brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the
greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and
their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he
hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to
vanish away (Hebrews 8:6–13, KJV).
It is through this New Covenant in the Blood
of Jesus Christ that you were completely renewed by the Holy Spirit through the
New Birth, and this was done in such a way that, without
a doubt, He—God
Himself—girds you with power and MAKES YOUR WAY PERFECT.
So it is not
that you can stand firm on the
heights by your own efforts or abilities, nor by “paying
the price” through
fasting, prayer, or any kind of
sacrifice, because, in honor of the Truth,
Not by might, nor by power,
but by my spirit, saith
the Lord of hosts
(Zechariah 4:6, KJV).
All of this is truly amazing and wonderful. God shows you the love of a true
Father by designing a plan in which there is no way for you to lose.
See what great love the Father has
lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him (1
John 3:1, NIV).
It is His eternal and infinite grace, revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, that alone allows you to be more than a
conqueror through that love.
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John
3:16–17, KJV).
God loves you so much that He chose to give His own Son rather than lose you!
So take heart
and do not be afraid!
Only believe! You are a child of God, born again—not of corruptible seed, but
of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which lives and ABIDES FOREVER.
Whatever situation or need you may be facing today, you are clothed with the
power of God to come out more than a conqueror in anything.
God cannot lie. If He said it, He will
fulfill it; if He spoke it, He will carry it out. Therefore, stop listening to those evil voices that assign you to failure,
shame, and condemnation. Listen to your Father telling you: I, yes I, am the One who
clothes you with power and makes your way perfect;
I make your feet swift so
that you may stand firm on the heights. I train your hands for battle because
you are going to win; I enlarge your steps beneath you, and your feet will not slip.
You are a child
of the King! Clothed with power!
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved heavenly Father, I thank You on this
day, because I know that, according to Your Word—the Bible, which does not
lie—through the Blood of Your Son Jesus, You have made me Your child to reign on the earth. Thank You,
Lord Jesus, because now You are the mediator of a better covenant, established
on better promises. I praise and bless Your Name! For now I am clothed with power to overcome every problem, sickness, or circumstance that tries to prevent me from receiving
the fulfillment of each and every one of Your promises written in the Bible. My
way is perfect, and I stand on the heights. Therefore, I determine not to
think, speak, or even feel about myself as a failure,
frustrated, defeated, sick, hypocritical, or any other
thought, word, or attitude of
deceit and lies toward my own life. By Your grace and love, I am who You say I
am: justified and forgiven; Your child, born again. So I have all the authority
and freedom to act and live, manifesting what I already am: righteous, holy,
and complete. Not because I have to become it as though I lacked it, but
because, thanks to You, Jesus Christ, that is who I am.
Consequently, today I declare
myself healed, free, prosperous, and at peace, to
live the full and abundant life that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ purchased
for me. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

18 Luke 14.1-24
/ Genesis 25 / Psalm 18
Luke
14 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day,
that they watched him.
2 And, behold,
there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
3 And Jesus
answering spake unto the lawyers
and Pharisees, saying,
Is it lawful to heal on the
sabbath day?
4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
5 And answered
them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not
straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
6 And they could not answer him again to these things.
7 And he put forth a parable
to those which were bidden,
when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them.
8 When thou art bidden
of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest
room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take
the lowest room.
10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when
he that bade thee cometh, he may say
unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence
of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever
exalteth himself shall
be abased; and he that humbleth
himself shall be exalted.
12 Then said he also
to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren,
neither thy kinsmen,
nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a
recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest
a feast, call the poor,
the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt
be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
15 And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things,
he said unto him, Blessed is
he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper,
and bade many:
17 And sent his servant
at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse.
The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground,
and I must needs go and see it: I pray
thee have me excused.
19 And another
said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove
them: I pray thee have me
excused.
20 And another
said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things.
Then the master
of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the
streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed,
and the halt, and the blind.
22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is
room.
23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways
and hedges, and compel them to
come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
Genesis
25
Then again Abraham
took a wife, and her name was
Keturah.
2 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak,
and Shuah.
3 And Jokshan
begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher,
and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of
Keturah.
5
And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
6 But unto the sons
of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward,
unto the east country.
7 And these are the days of the years of Abraham's
life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.
8 Then Abraham
gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man,
and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael
buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron
the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;
10 The field which Abraham
purchased of the sons of Heth: there
was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
11 And it came to pass after
the death of Abraham, that God blessed
his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt
by the well Lahairoi.
12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's
son, whom Hagar
the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
13 And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael,
by their names, according
to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and
Adbeel, and Mibsam,
14 And Mishma,
and Dumah, and
Massa,
15 Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
16 These are the sons of Ishmael,
and these are their names,
by their towns, and by their castles; twelve
princes according to their nations.
17 And these are the years of the life of Ishmael,
an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up
the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.
18 And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before
Egypt, as thou goest
toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.
19 And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's
son: Abraham begat Isaac:
20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah
to wife, the daughter
of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren:
and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22 And the children struggled
together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of
the LORD.
23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations
are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from
thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the
elder shall serve the younger.
24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold,
there were twins in her womb.
25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment;
and they called
his name Esau.
26 And after that came his brother
out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and
Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter,
a man of the field; and
Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.
28 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
29 And Jacob sod pottage:
and Esau came from the field, and he was
faint:
30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage;
for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy
birthright.
32 And Esau said, Behold,
I am at the point to die: and what profit shall
this birthright do to me?
33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way:
thus Esau despised his birthright.
Psalm
18 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress,
and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my
buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from
mine enemies.
4 The sorrows
of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made
me afraid.
5 The sorrows
of hell compassed
me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6 In my distress I called upon the
LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry
came before him, even into his ears.
7 Then the earth shook
and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was
wroth.
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth
devoured: coals were kindled by it.
9 He bowed the heavens
also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
10 And he rode upon a cherub,
and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
11 He made darkness his secret place;
his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the
skies.
12 At the brightness that was before
him his thick clouds passed,
hail stones and coals of fire.
13 The LORD also thundered
in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice;
hail stones and coals of fire.
14 Yea, he sent out his arrows,
and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings,
and discomfited them.
15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16 He sent from above,
he took me, he drew me out of many
waters.
17 He delivered
me from my strong enemy, and from them which
hated me: for they were too
strong for me.
18
They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
19 He brought
me forth also into a large place;
he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he
recompensed me.
21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly
departed from my God.
22 For all his judgments
were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
23 I was also upright
before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
24 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness
of my hands in his eyesight.
25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright
man thou wilt shew thyself
upright;
26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure;
and with the froward thou wilt
shew thyself froward.
27 For thou wilt save the afflicted
people; but wilt bring down high looks.
28 For thou wilt light my candle:
the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped
over a wall.
30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the
LORD is tried: he is a buckler
to all those that trust in him.
31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
32 It is God that girdeth me with strength,
and maketh my way perfect.
33 He maketh
my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth
me upon my high places.
34 He teacheth
my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine
arms.
35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath
made me great.
36
Thou hast enlarged
my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again
till they were consumed.
38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under
my feet.
39 For thou hast girded
me with strength
unto the battle:
thou hast subdued under me those that rose up
against me.
40 Thou hast also given
me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy
them that hate me.
41 They cried,
but there was none to save them:
even unto the LORD, but he
answered them not.
42 Then did I beat them small
as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people;
and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall
serve me.
44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit
themselves unto me.
45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their
close places.
46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth
the people under me.
48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest
me up above those that
rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among
the heathen, and sing
praises unto thy name.
50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth
mercy to his anointed,
to David, and to his seed for evermore.

9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael
buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron
the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;
25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment;
and they called
his name Esau.
29 And Jacob sod pottage:
and Esau came from the field, and he was
faint:
30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage;
for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
11 He made darkness his secret place;
his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the
skies.
12 At the brightness that was before
him his thick clouds passed,
hail stones and coals of fire.
13 The LORD also thundered
in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice;
hail stones and coals of fire.
14 Yea, he sent out his arrows,
and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings,
and discomfited them.
15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16 He sent from above,
he took me, he drew me out of many
waters.
17 He delivered
me from my strong enemy, and from them which
hated me: for they were too
strong for me.
18
They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
19 He brought
me forth also into a large place;
he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright
man thou wilt shew thyself
upright;
26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure;
and with the froward thou wilt
shew thyself froward.
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people;
and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall
