Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They
cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not
confounded. (Psalm 22:4-5, KJV)
The concept of waiting on God or hoping in
God defines Biblical Hope as a secure confidence, an absolute certainty that
God will fulfill His Word and respond favorably to you in what you are expecting. So, if you trust in God and believe His Word, you too can expect
to be delivered from your difficulties.
Trust in Him and you
will not be put to
shame!
So
shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy
word. (Psalm 119:42, KJV)
Since God IS one hundred
percent trustworthy, it IS a mistake not to trust Him;
it IS a tremendous error not to BELIEVE His Word.
God is not a mere mortal,
so he does not lie. He is not a human, so he does not
change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and
not carried it through? (Numbers 23:19, NLT)
The Word of God is the most secure and
reliable thing in the universe. We know that God cannot lie because what makes
Him Omnipotent is precisely that everything—absolutely everything—that comes
out of His mouth is fulfilled. The Word of God has within
itself all the Power of God to bring itself to pass.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed
by the word of God, so that things which are seen were
not made of things which do appear. (Hebrews
11:3, KJV)
God created the entire universe (the visible
and the invisible) with His Word. The power of God's strength
is not His angels, nor lightning, but His Word.
So, I insist, anything God
says must necessarily be fulfilled.
This is why God
cannot lie. Even if He wanted
to, He couldn't, because a lie is the total opposite
of the Truth and, as we have seen, every Word that comes
from God's mouth fulfills itself because it is the Truth.
And God said, Let there be
light: and there was light. (Genesis 1:3, KJV) When God said, "let
there be light," there was light and nothing
else! God
didn't say “let there be light” and then
cover His eyes, crossing His fingers, waiting
to see what would happen or what would result from it; No! It wasn't
like that, because exactly what He said would happen, happened: There was light!
As an illustration, imagine the Lord wanted
to play a joke on you and appeared to you on a Sunday morning saying:
"Hello, don't you like the beautiful Friday night I'm giving you?"; you couldn't argue that He was mistaken. Remember He is God,
so what do you think will happen the very moment the words "beautiful Friday night" come
out of His mouth? Well, it's time to change calendars and adjust clocks
because, without any discussion, that day will stop being Sunday
to become a beautiful Friday night. It is
the Word of God! It is
His Word of Honor!
So, since the Bible, the Word of God, is the
Eternal and Infallible Truth, then Life is not about whether God is trustworthy
or not; rather, Life is about whether you decide to trust Him or not. Your Life is about whether
you decide to believe or not
believe His Word.
And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast
promised this goodness unto thy servant. (2 Samuel
7:28, KJV)
Over and over again you will find God, Your Father, emphasizing to you that His
Word is Truth.
Why is this so important? Why does God get so upset with lies? Because
all the forces of hell are working against
you so that you don't find out (and much less
believe) that the Bible really is the Word of God and therefore is the Truth.
The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals
the LORD God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God
really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” “Of
course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s
only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not
allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not
eat it or even touch it; if you do,
you will die.’” “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman.
“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you
eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” (Genesis
3:1-5, NLT)
Never forget that in Paradise,
in the Garden of Eden, God taught Adam and Eve
not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because if
they did they would surely die (which turned out to be the Truth). However,
Satan (in the form of a serpent) contradicted God's Word with his lies and
posed a dilemma for Adam and Eve: God my creator SAYS one thing and this
creature SAYS another, so, which of the two is telling the TRUTH? Which of the two am I going to BELIEVE?
Whatever
the problem, distress,
or illness you are facing today, I can assure you that the situation IS NOT very
different from the one Adam and Eve confronted back in Paradise.
Don’t let my treacherous enemies rejoice over my defeat.
Don’t let those who
hate me without cause gloat over my sorrow. They don’t talk of peace; they plot against
innocent people who mind their own business. They shout, “Aha!
We
saw him do it!” O LORD, you know all about this. Do not stay silent.
Do not abandon me now, O
Lord. Wake up! Rise to my defense! Take up my case, my God and my Lord. Declare
me innocent, O LORD my God, for you do justice.
Don’t let my enemies
laugh about me in my difficulties. Don’t let them say,
“Look, we got what we wanted! Now we will eat him alive!” (Psalm 35:19-25, NLT)
Rest assured, those
problems, anxieties, or illnesses are speaking to you with words of fear, failure, and defeat.
However, today, God your Father is also speaking to you through His Word, The
Bible.
Have not I commanded
thee? Be strong
and of a good courage;
be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with
thee whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:9, KJV)
So, the dilemma remains the same and today you have to decide who
you are going to believe: all the evidence, results, and diagnoses with which
"your reality" is shouting
at you, or what the Word of God says (which by the way, IS
the Truth)?
Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they
that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be
as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them,
and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war
against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the LORD thy
God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. (Isaiah
41:10-13, KJV)
You are a Born-Again Child of God and
EVERYTHING that is born of God OVERCOMES the world.
The Victory that overcomes the world is your FAITH; it
is when you trust in God, your Father, believing
Him instead of believing "your circumstances."
Thou wilt keep him in perfect
peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah
26:3, KJV)
It is by believing the Word of God that today you will be delivered from all
affliction.
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved Heavenly Father, on this day, as in
every day, I am determined to come out as more than a conqueror over all the
challenges, problems, and afflictions I am facing. Because
of Your Love and Your Word, I am convinced
that I am Your Beloved Child and that You
have never left me and will never leave me. Therefore, I will have an answer
for my reproacher because I have trusted in Your Word. I will not pay attention
to how loudly the circumstances of my Life shout, but I will listen to
the Truth of Your Word, for it is there that I obtain the Victory. I repent of
all my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. And regarding the condemnation with
which the devil tries to defeat me, today I want to be especially aware
of Your great Love with which You have loved me, for while I was dead in
trespasses and sins, You gave me Life together with Christ. By grace I am
saved! Lord Jesus, I know that by dying for me on that cross You paid for ALL
my sins and therefore You have made me righteous before the Father to be adopted as His Child according to the
good pleasure of His Will. Thank You so much for that! Now I know who I am: a Born-Again Child of God; Born-Again to triumph. No
problem, illness, or circumstance can ever speak louder than the Truth. Your
Word is the Truth! I will not allow fear, doubt, discouragement, condemnation, or shame to lead
me down the path of error. I am Your Child, O God, and
You are my Father! Nothing and no one can undo this: I can do all things
through Christ Jesus who strengthens me! In ALL things I am more than a
conqueror through Him who loved me, Christ Jesus!
Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world! My God shall
supply ALL my needs according to His riches in glory! This is all the
good You have done for me, according to Your Word. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God
Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the
entire Bible.

22 Luke 17 / Genesis
29.1-30 / Psalm 22
Luke
17 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences
will come: but woe unto him,
through whom they come!
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should
offend one of these little ones.
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother
trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 And if he trespass
against thee seven
times in a day, and seven times in a day
turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase
our faith.
6 And the Lord
said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted
in the sea; and it should obey you.
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing
or feeding cattle,
will say unto him by and by, when he is come from
the field, Go and sit down to meat?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith
I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and
afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 Doth he thank that servant because
he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
10 So likewise ye,
when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which
was our duty to do.
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered
into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices,
and said, Jesus,
Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And
it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks:
and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the
nine?
18 There are not found that returned
to give glory to God, save this
stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise,
go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom
of God should come, he
answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God
is within you.
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man,
and ye shall not see it.
23 And they shall say to you, See here;
or, see there:
go not after them, nor follow them.
24 For as the
lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected
of this generation.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of
man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage,
until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed
them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted,
they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained
fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them
all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop,
and his stuff in the house,
let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him
likewise not return back.
32
Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall
lose it; and whosoever shall lose
his life shall preserve it.
34 I tell you, in that night
there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall
be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together;
the one shall be taken,
and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered
and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither
will the eagles
be gathered together.
Genesis
29 Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the
east.
2 And he looked, and behold a well in the field,
and, lo, there
were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of
that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth.
3 And thither were
all the flocks gathered: and they
rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's
mouth in his place.
4 And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we.
5 And he said unto them, Know ye Laban
the son of Nahor? And they said,
We know him.
6 And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well:
and, behold, Rachel his
daughter cometh with the sheep.
7 And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither
is it time that the cattle should
be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them.
8 And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together,
and till they roll the stone
from the well's mouth; then we water the sheep.
9 And while he yet spake with them, Rachel
came with her father's sheep;
for she kept them.
10 And it came to
pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the
sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled
the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock
of Laban his mother's brother.
11 And Jacob
kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice,
and wept.
12 And Jacob told Rachel
that he was her father's
brother, and that he was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told
her father.
13 And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings
of Jacob his sister's son, that
he ran to meet him, and embraced
him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all
these things.
14 And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.
15 And Laban
said unto Jacob,
Because thou art my brother,
shouldest thou therefore serve
me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?
16 And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
17
Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.
18 And Jacob loved Rachel;
and said, I will serve
thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.
19 And Laban
said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her
to another man: abide with me.
20 And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.
21 And Jacob
said unto Laban,
Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in
unto her.
22 And Laban gathered together
all the men of the place, and made a feast.
23 And it came to pass in the evening,
that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in
unto her.
24 And Laban
gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.
25 And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold,
it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done
unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou
beguiled me?
26 And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country,
to give the younger before the
firstborn.
27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou
shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled
her week: and he gave him Rachel
his daughter to wife also.
29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah
his handmaid to be her maid.
30 And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah,
and served with him yet seven other years.
Psalm
22 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my
roaring?
2 O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest
not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4 Our fathers
trusted in thee: they trusted,
and thou didst deliver them.
5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach
of men, and despised of the
people.
7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the
head, saying,
8 He trusted
on the LORD that he would deliver
him: let him deliver him, seeing
he delighted in him.
9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's
belly.
11
Be not far from me; for trouble
is near; for there is none to help.
12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls
of Bashan have beset me round.
13 They gaped
upon me with their mouths,
as a ravening and a roaring lion.
14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of
my bowels.
15 My strength
is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue
cleaveth to my jaws;
and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16 For dogs have compassed
me: the assembly
of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my
feet.
17 I may tell all my bones:
they look and stare upon me.
18 They part my garments
among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword;
my darling from the power of the dog.
21 Save me from the lion's mouth:
for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

23 And they shall say to you, See here;
or, see there:
go not after them, nor follow them.
24 For as the
lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected
of this generation.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of
man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage,
until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed
them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted,
they builded;
35 Two women shall be grinding together;
the one shall be taken,
and the other left.
9 And while he yet spake with them, Rachel
came with her father's sheep;
for she kept them.
10 And it came to
pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the
sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled
the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock
of Laban his mother's brother.
11 And Jacob
kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice,
and wept.
12 And Jacob told Rachel
that he was her father's
brother, and that he was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told
her father.
13 And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings
of Jacob his sister's son, that
he ran to meet him, and embraced
him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all
these things.
14 And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.
15 And Laban
said unto Jacob,
Because thou art my brother,
shouldest thou therefore serve
me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?
16 And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
17
Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.
18 And Jacob loved Rachel;
and said, I will serve
thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.
25 And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold,

shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation
will I praise thee.
23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob,
glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto
him, he heard.
25 My praise
shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the
LORD that seek him: your heart
shall live for ever.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember
and turn unto the
LORD: and all the
kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28 For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor
among the nations.
29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him:
and none can keep alive his own soul.
30 A seed shall serve
him; it shall be accounted
to the Lord for a generation.
31 They shall come, and shall declare
his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
