Year of Splendor!

                 <ESPAÑOL>

January 11th

Year of Splendor!

 By Riqui Ricón

And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes

which see the things that ye see: For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them (Luke 10:23-24, KJV).

You have been destined by God to live in the most exciting times that human history could ever record.

Although it is true that we have never before seen problems as serious as those we face today: wars, famines, organized crime everywhere, corruption at all levels, violence not only in the streets but also in homes, schools, movies, television, etc., in addition to economic collapses throughout the world, diseases, a lack of values, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, droughts, climate change, global warming, fear, anguish, and despair, it is also true that never before has the Holy Spirit moved with such force and insistence among His daughters and sons.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:18-19, KJV).

That’s right, beloved, this is your time, these are your days; you are a Born Again Child of God and you have a purpose to fulfill. This is the reason why you are still in this world, instead of already being in the Presence of your heavenly Father.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16, KJV).

Everywhere, the Holy Spirit is calling you to trust and believe His Word. It is of vital importance that you return to placing all your faith and trust in the Bible, which is the Word of God!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17, KJV).

Despite the problems and difficulties you may be facing today, you must never forget that God loves you so much that He preferred to give up His own Son rather than lose you.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him (1 John 3:1, NIV).

You must never forget that, because of that Great Love that God feels for you, you have been called and established as a legitimate Child of God.

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33, NIV).

Never forget that, even in the midst of affliction, you can trust in Christ Jesus, and from every problem, anguish, or illness, you will come out more than a conqueror through His Love.

That’s right, you will come out more than a conqueror!

She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Marta, Marta,” the Lord

answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:39-42, NIV).

Even though the world is falling to pieces, you have been given the good part AND IT WILL NOT BE TAKEN FROM YOU. You have the Word of God. The Word of Honor of the only living and true God is with you and in you.

It is in the Word of God where you find that there are extraordinary things God has decreed concerning you for these extraordinary times:

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13, KJV).

You can do EVERYTHING in Christ Jesus!

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12, KJV).

Now, you can do the things that Jesus did and even greater because He is with the Father, who is also your own Father!

Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth” (1 Kings 17:24, NIV).

If there is something this needy and overwhelmed world desperately needs today, it is to be able to look at your level and quality of life—that full and victorious life that was bought for you at the price of the Blood and Life of Jesus Christ—and for them to be able to say: "Now I know that you are a Born Again Child of God and that the Word of God, the Bible, IS TRUTH in your mouth."

So, Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12, KJV).

This is your time, this is your year! A Year of Abundant Grace! The best year of your life! A Year of Splendor!

Let’s pray out loud:

Beloved Heavenly Father, at this moment I want to thank You for making me who I am. Thank You, Lord Jesus, because in You, in Your sacrifice of love for me, I was justified, forgiven, and sanctified from all my sins to receive a totally New Life and, thanks to this—thanks to You—I have been Born Again as a Child of God. Thank You for choosing me to live in these exciting times. In the face of any problem, anguish, or illness, I have trusted in You, my God. I will not fear, nor will I run to hide, because even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because You, my King, Lord, and Savior, are with me. The Truth is that I can face this year with good courage and joy in my heart, because I am the person that You, my God, say in Your Word that I am, no more and no less: I am a New Creature! I am the salt of the earth! I am the light of the world! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! In all things I am more than a conqueror through Your Love, Lord Jesus! I am healed! I am free! As a Child of the King, I call forth prosperity and well-being into my life! I am going to make these days the most exciting days of my life! Holy Spirit, You are with me, and if You are with me, who can be against me?! You and I will make this year a year of Splendor. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Important Note:

How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the Almighty?

Just say the following prayer aloud, putting all your attention and heart into what you are saying to God:

Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. That You came into this world, born of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my heart to You and invite You in because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my God, my King, and my Lord.

Thank You, Almighty God, because with this simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your

Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Three Recommendations:

What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life, according to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore, I give you these three, very important, recommendations:

1.    Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice how God always responds to your heart.

2.    Read and meditate on the Word of God. The Bible is the Word of God, so get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day, look up the reading program “The

Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.

3.    In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based on the Good News, which are the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God

Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the entire Bible.

January 11    Luke 10.21-42 / Genesis 18 / Psalm 11 Luke

21  In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent,

and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

22  All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

23  And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

24  For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

25  And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26  He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27  And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28  And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

29  But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

30  And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31  And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32  And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33  But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34  And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35  And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36  Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37  And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

38  Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39  And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

40  But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41  And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42  But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Genesis

18 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

2  And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

3  And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

4  Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

5  And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

6  And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

7  And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

8  And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

9  And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

10  And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11  Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

12  Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

13  And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14  Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15  Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

16  And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

17  And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18  Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19  For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

20  And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21  I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

22  And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

23  And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24  Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25  That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26  And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27  And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD, which am but dust and ashes:

28  Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

29  And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

30  And he said unto him, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

31  And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

32  And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

33  And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

Psalm

11 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

2  For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

3  If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4  The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5  The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6  Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

7  For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
