Why Did God Save You?
Saved to
Reign!
By Riqui Ricón*
And he carried me away in the
spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that
great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the
glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as
crystal; And I heard a great voice out of heaven
saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their
God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said,
Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are
true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst
of the fountain of the water
of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his
God, and he shall be my son; And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants
shall serve him: And they
shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall
be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the
Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. (Rev.
21:10–11, 3–7; 22:3–5, KJV).
You need to pay close attention to today’s
Bible readings, because you're reading the end of the Book. And you know what? The Word of God clearly says that in the end: You win!
It’s not only that in Christ Jesus you are
more than a conqueror in all things, but it’s also clearly
revealed here that God’s Plan—His
desire—has always been for heaven to come to earth. It’s
not that you go to heaven, but that God comes to earth to live and reign with
you!
Most believers think the best thing that can
happen to them is to go live in heaven, while the Divine Plan,
revealed in Scripture, is that God comes to dwell
with you—and the most wonderful
part is that He wants you to reign with Him.
Your mortal body will be glorified and
clothed with immortality so that, with your whole being—spirit, soul, and
body—you can begin to enjoy the victory that He, the Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the end, purchased for you by
paying for all your sins with His Life on the cross and by having overcome
sin and death, making you a partaker of Eternal Life.
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John
3:16–17, KJV).
God loves
you so much that He chose to give His own Son rather than lose you.
The people that walked in darkness
have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death,
upon them hath the light shined. Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they
divide the spoil. For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of
his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. For unto us a
child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his
shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government
and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his
kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from
henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this (Isaiah
9:2–4, 6–7, KJV).
Jesus is the Messiah, the Savior; He is God’s Promise to bring salvation
to all humanity. He is the
child born to us, given to us, who has the government upon His shoulder, and
whose name is: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of
Peace.
Realize that the price paid for you wasn’t the life of just anyone—it
was the life
of God’s only Son. That’s
why Jesus has all authority, not only to justify you and
forgive your sins but also to bring
you out of darkness into light, to conquer
death, and make you a New Creation, granting you the Eternal Life of God’s children.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become new (2
Corinthians 5:17, KJV).
You are no longer the same person you once were!
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of
God, which liveth and abideth for ever (1 Peter
1:23, KJV).
You have been born again from the incorruptible seed,
which is the Word of God,
and now you are a completely new kind of being: You are a Born-Again
Child of God.
And they sung a new song, saying,
Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open
the seals thereof:
for thou wast slain,
and hast redeemed
us to God by thy
blood out of every kindred,
and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:
and we shall reign on the earth (Revelation 5:9-10, KJV).
Through His blood, you have already been
redeemed—bought and made free for God from every family, nation, people, and
language—and you have been made a king (or queen)
and a priest (or priestess) for God, destined
to reign on the earth!
No war, violence, sickness, poverty,
resentment, pain, loneliness, death, life itself, angels, rulers, powers, the
present, the future, the heights, the depths, or any created thing can separate
you from God’s
love or His purpose for your
life, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Beloved, you have already been set apart by God to reign
over every problem, sickness, or affliction. You
don’t need to wait for Christ’s second coming to start exercising authority and
dominion over every adverse circumstance you face today. You are a King (or
Queen)!
He hath remembered his covenant for
ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his
commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. He sent
redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and
reverend is his name (Psalm 111:5b-9, KJV).
God cannot lie, and His Word, the Bible, is “yes and amen” for those who
believe Him.
The LORD is my light and my
salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom
shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes,
came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I
be confident (Psalm 27:1-3, KJV).
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved Heavenly Father,
it is wonderful to know that You have predestined me to reign together
with Christ Jesus.
Thank You! I know that I have overcome
and I will continue to overcome. I refuse to accept or believe any word or
thought of failure and defeat. I am exactly what You say I am in Your Word: a
Born-Again Child of God, destined to reign and govern over the earth; over my
life, my health, my finances, and every adverse
circumstance. Thank You, Jesus,
for loving me so much that You gave Your own Life so that I could now live a
full and abundant life. I am determined, with Your help, Holy Spirit, to
transform my way of thinking, renewing the spirit of my mind. No matter the
circumstances or how I feel today, I believe and declare that I am the Child You, my God and Father, have always
wanted—righteous, holy, and perfect. I am ready to leave behind all negative
emotions and thoughts of failure and defeat. That old nature has no place in
me, for I have been regenerated in Christ Jesus to live a full and victorious
life. I know this because the Bible says it,
I believe it because it is Your Word of Honor, and I am determined, with Your help, Holy Spirit, to live it out. I
will live that prosperous life, in health, love, peace, and joy, that You, O
God, desire for me. I, (your name here), am a Born-Again Child of
God. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, for He who is in me
is greater than he who is in the world,
and that is You, Precious Spirit of God. I will not give the devil and his lies
any place in my life. I will fear no more! I cast out all anxiety and unrest.
In
all things I am more than a conqueror through
Him who loved me, Christ
Jesus! I have been healed by the wounds of
Jesus! I am established
to reign in this life by the blood of Jesus! There is no way I can lose,
for You, my God and Father, are in me and with me; and if God is for me, who
can be against me? I am healthy! I am free! I am prosperous! I am happy! It is
written! I believe it and receive it in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God
Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the
entire Bible.
October 21 Revelation 21-22 / Isaiah 9-10 / Psalm 111 Revelation
21 And I saw a new heaven
and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first
earth were passed away;
and there was no more
sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming
down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell
with them, and they shall be
his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be
their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said,
Behold, I make all things
new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words
are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain
of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful,
and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part
in the lake which burneth with
fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials
full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will
shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me
away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light
was like unto a stone
most precious, even like a
jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall
great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels,
and names written
thereon, which are the names of the twelve
tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three
gates; on the north three
gates; on the south three gates;
and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of
the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked
with me had a golden
reed to measure
the city, and the
gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth:
and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand
furlongs. The length and
the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof,
an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man,
that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold,
like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first
foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the
fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth,
sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve
gates were twelve pearls: every
several gate was of one pearl: and the street
of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein:
for the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb are the temple of
it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither
of the moon, to shine
in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light
thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the
kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night
there.
26 And they shall bring
the glory and honour of the nations
into it.
27 And there shall
in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh
abomination, or maketh
a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of
the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street
of it, and on either
side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve
manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree
were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there
shall be no more curse:
but the throne
of God and of the Lamb
shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face;
and his name shall be in their
foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle,
neither light of the
sun; for the Lord
God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These
sayings are faithful
and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to
shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7 Behold, I come quickly:
blessed is he that keepeth
the sayings of the
prophecy of this book.
8 And I John
saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard
and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of
thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book:
worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy
of this book:
for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust,
let him be unjust still:
and he which is filthy,
let him be filthy still: and he that is
righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy
still.
12 And, behold,
I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right
to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without
are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers,
and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent
mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring
of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride
say, Come. And let him that heareth
say, Come. And let him that
is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth
the words of the prophecy
of this book, If any man shall
add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in
this book:
19 And if any man
shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the
holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which
testifieth these things
saith, Surely I come quickly.
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Isaiah
9 Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation,
when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of
Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict
her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
2 The people
that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon
them hath the light shined.
3 Thou hast
multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest,
and as men rejoice when they divide the
spoil.
4 For thou hast broken
the yoke of his burden,
and the staff of his shoulder,
the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
5 For every battle of the warrior
is with confused
noise, and garments
rolled in blood; but this
shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
6 For unto us a
child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The
mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom,
to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will
perform this.
8
The Lord sent a word into Jacob,
and it hath lighted upon Israel.
9 And all the people
shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say
in the pride and stoutness of heart,
10 The bricks
are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will
change them into cedars.
11 Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against
him, and join his enemies
together;
12 The Syrians
before, and the Philistines behind;
and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his
anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
13 For the people turneth
not unto him that smiteth
them, neither do they
seek the LORD of hosts.
14 Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel
head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
15 The ancient
and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet
that teacheth lies, he is the
tail.
16 For the leaders of this people
cause them to err; and they that are led of
them are destroyed.
17 Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither
shall have mercy on their
fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every
mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand
is stretched out still.
18 For wickedness
burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets
of the forest, and they shall mount up like the
lifting up of smoke.
19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened,
and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his
brother.
20 And he shall
snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
21 Manasseh, Ephraim;
and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together
shall be against Judah. For
all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
10 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write
grievousness which they have prescribed;
2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the
poor of my people, that widows may be
their prey, and that
they may rob the fatherless!
3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall
come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall
under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is
stretched out still.
5 O Assyrian,
the rod of mine anger,
and the staff in their hand is mine
indignation.
6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation,
and against the people of my
wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to
tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither
doth his heart think so; but it is in his
heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
8 For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?
9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath
as Arpad? is not Samaria
as Damascus?
10 As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols,
and whose graven
images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols,
so do to Jerusalem and her
idols?
12 Wherefore it
shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria,
and the glory of his high looks.
13 For he saith, By
the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the
people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant
man:
14 And my hand hath
found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered
all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the
mouth, or peeped.
15 Shall the axe
boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify
itself against him that shaketh
it? as if the rod should shake itself
against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself,
as if it were no wood.
16 Therefore shall
the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle
a burning like the burning
of a fire.
17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it
shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
18 And shall consume the glory of his forest,
and of his fruitful field,
both soul and body: and they
shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.
19 And the rest of the trees
of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant
of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob,
shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21 The remnant
shall return, even the remnant
of Jacob, unto the mighty
God.
22 For though thy
people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed
shall overflow with righteousness.
23 For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
24 Therefore thus
saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that
dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian:
he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift
up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
25 For yet a very little while,
and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so
shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden
shall be taken
away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed
because of the anointing.
28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron;
at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
29 They are gone over the passage:
they have taken
up their lodging
at Geba; Ramah is afraid;
Gibeah of Saul is fled.
30 Lift up thy voice,
O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard
unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather
themselves to flee.
32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the
hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the
high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest
with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
Psalm
111 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart,
in the assembly of the
upright, and in the congregation.
2 The works
of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
3
His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 He hath made his wonderful works
to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of
compassion.
5 He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful
of his covenant.
6 He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them
the heritage of the heathen.
7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
9 He sent redemption unto his people:
he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for
ever.
