When Will God Put You to Shame?
You Will Never Be Put to Shame!
By Riqui
Ricón
Then I will answer the one who
taunts me, for I trust in your word. Never take your word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws. (Psalm
119:42–43, NIV)
Did you know that, up to this point in
history, there has never been a single human being who has been put to shame
for trusting, with all their heart, in the Word of God? This is because
the Word of God is the Truth.
Therefore, the Sons and
Daughters of God who are born again
will never be put to shame for
having trusted in the Bible.
In fact, we can and should, in the face of every problem and adverse
circumstance, respond to the accuser
by declaring that we fully trust in the
Word of God.
I
prayed to the Lord, and he answered
me; he freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be
radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation
I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles. For the
angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. Taste
and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they
need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.
(Psalm 34:4–10, NLT)
The Bible is the Word of God, and we know that He cannot lie. Therefore, for example, if the Bible says that you are healed by the wounds
of Christ Jesus, that is the Truth—and any sickness in your body exists in
opposition to that Truth and against the will of God.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things
and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (3
John 2, NKJV)
This brief portion of Scripture perfectly
expresses God’s will for your life: prosperity
in all things, health, peace, and joy—in
short, a full and abundant life.
The thief comes only to steal
and kill and destroy; I have come that they may
have life, and have it to the full. (John
10:10, NIV)
However, people sometimes wonder why, if the Bible is the Truth,
they don’t seem to experience the kind of life it promises. To answer that, we
must first ask: could it be—even in the slightest
possibility—that the one who’s mistaken is you, and not the Lord or His
Word?
Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because
you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?” (Mark
12:24, NIV)
Faith means believing the Lord—believing His Word—and the greatest obstacle to receiving God’s promises
through faith is condemnation, which works through the spirit of fear. I’m
talking about that feeling of not being clean enough, holy enough, worthy
enough, or capable of deserving a miracle, much less the fulfillment of a
promise from God.
The centurion replied, “Lord, I do
not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my
servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers
under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he
comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I
tell you, I have not found anyone
in Israel with such great faith.”
(Matthew 8:8– 10,
NIV)
How much light this centurion brings to your heart! Even though he didn’t feel worthy, he had a deep awareness of
justice and truth: Jesus is God, and His Word carries all the power and
authority to stand firm and fulfill itself.
God is not human,
that he should
lie, not a human being,
that he should
change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not
fulfill? (Numbers 23:19, NIV)
If God said it, then He will fulfill
it. If God spoke it, then He will bring
it to pass.
So then, the key to everything is your faith.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone
who comes to him must believe that he exists and
that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews
11:6, NIV)
The key to everything is whether you can believe
God by believing His Word.
“If you can believe,
all things are possible to the one who believes.” (Mark 9:23,
KJV)
The Bible is the law of righteousness, the
law of truth, and in it God declares that by accepting the payment Jesus Christ made with His life, you receive the justification—or forgiveness—of all
your sins, so that now, through faith in Him, you may receive the fullness of
life.
But now that you have been
set free from sin
and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads
to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ
Jesus our Lord. (Romans
6:22–23, NIV)
Do not deceive yourself—there is no price,
work, or action you could ever perform to pay, by your own means,
for what He has already
done out of love
for you. You could keep trying until the end of time and still never achieve
it. The Good News (the Gospel) is that God is trustworthy, and you can believe
Him to receive today the justification and the abundant life that rightfully
belong to you. God has given His Word of Honor!
The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;
its effect will be quietness and confidence forever. (Isaiah
32:17, NIV)
You can rest assured—you will never be put to shame for having believed
the Word of God.
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved Heavenly Father, it is wonderful to
know in whom I have trusted and to whom I have given my life and heart—to
You, precious God, who have loved
me so much that You chose to give Your own Son rather than lose me. To You,
who have spoken words of truth and love over
me and my family. Thank You, Lord, because I know that none of those words will
fail to be fulfilled in me: I am loved by the Father; I am more than a
conqueror; nothing and no one can stand against me, for You, Lord Jesus,
are with me. There is no way I can lose in this life. I will never be put to
shame for having believed Your Word! I am healed! I am free! I am prosperous! I
am blessed! I am a Son/Daughter of God, born again! Thank You, Lord Jesus!
Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God
Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the
entire Bible.
October 30 1 Timothy
1 / Isaiah 31-33 / Psalm 119.33-64
1 Timothy
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour,
and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2 Unto Timothy,
my own son in the faith: Grace,
mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some
that they teach no other doctrine,
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister
questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a
good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 From which some having
swerved have turned
aside unto vain
jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers
of the law; understanding neither
what they say, nor
whereof they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this,
that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and
disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers,
for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons,
and if there be any other thing that
is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 According to the glorious
gospel of the blessed God, which was committed
to my trust.
12 And I thank Christ
Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he
counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I
obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding
abundant with faith
and love which is in Christ
Jesus.
15 This is a faithful
saying, and worthy
of all acceptation, that Christ
Jesus came into the world to
save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained
mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might
shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter
believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal,
invisible, the only wise God, be
honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
18 This charge I commit
unto thee, son Timothy, according
to the prophecies which went before on thee,
that thou by them mightest
war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan,
that they may learn not to blaspheme.
Isaiah
31 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses,
and trust in chariots, because
they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not
unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words:
but will arise against the
house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
3 Now the Egyptians
are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch
out his hand, both he that helpeth
shall fall, and he that is
holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
4 For thus hath the
LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion
roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he
will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come
down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending
also he will deliver it; and
passing over he will preserve it.
6 Turn ye unto him from whom the children
of Israel have deeply revolted.
7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of
gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
8 Then shall the
Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be
discomfited.
9 And he shall pass over to his strong
hold for fear, and his princes shall be
afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
32 Behold, a king shall
reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
2 And a man shall be as an hiding
place from the wind, and a covert
from the tempest; as rivers of
water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that
hear shall hearken.
4 The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the
stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be
bountiful.
6 For the vile
person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter
error against the LORD, to make empty
the soul of the hungry, and
he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked
devices to destroy the poor
with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
8
But the liberal
deviseth liberal things;
and by liberal things shall he stand.
9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled,
ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering
shall not come.
11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip
you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.
12 They shall lament for the teats,
for the pleasant
fields, for the fruitful vine.
13 Upon the land of my people
shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:
14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left;
the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture
of flocks;
15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a
fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
16 Then judgment
shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain
in the fruitful field.
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance
for ever.
18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
19 When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a
low place.
20 Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters,
that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.
33 Woe to thee that
spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt
not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal
treacherously with thee.
2 O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited
for thee: be thou their arm
every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
3 At the noise of the tumult
the people fled;
at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.
4 And your spoil shall be gathered
like the gathering
of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he
run upon them.
5 The LORD is exalted;
for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with
judgment and righteousness.
6 And wisdom
and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times,
and strength of salvation: the
fear of the LORD is his treasure.
7 Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
8 The highways
lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken
the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.
9 The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon
is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and
Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.
10 Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.
11 Ye shall conceive chaff,
ye shall bring forth stubble:
your breath, as fire,
shall devour you.
12 And the people shall be as the burnings
of lime: as thorns cut up shall they
be burned in the fire.
13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near,
acknowledge my might.
14 The sinners in
Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring
fire? who among us shall dwell
with everlasting burnings?
15 He that walketh
righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions,
that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall
dwell on high: his place of defence
shall be the munitions of rocks:
bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold
the land that is
very far off.
18 Thine heart shall meditate
terror. Where is the scribe?
where is the receiver? where is he that counted the
towers?
19 Thou shalt not see a fierce
people, a people
of a deeper speech than thou
canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem
a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one
of the stakes thereof shall
ever be removed, neither shall
any of the cords thereof
be broken.
21 But there the
glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and
streams; wherein shall
go no galley with oars,
neither shall gallant
ship pass thereby.
22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he
will save us.
23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil
divided; the lame take the prey.
24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
Psalm
119.33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall
observe it with my whole heart.
35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding
vanity; and quicken
thou me in thy
way.
38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant,
who is devoted to thy fear.
39 Turn away my reproach
which I fear:
for thy judgments
are good.
40 Behold, I have longed
after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.
41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy
word.
42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly
out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
45 And I will walk at liberty:
for I seek thy precepts.
46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings,
and will not be ashamed.
47 And I will delight
myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved;
and I will meditate in thy statutes.
49 Remember the word unto thy servant,
upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 This is my comfort
in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
51 The proud have had me greatly
in derision: yet have I not declined
from thy law.
52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.
53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake
thy law.
54 Thy statutes
have been my songs in the house of my
pilgrimage.
55 I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
56 This I had, because
I kept thy precepts.
57 Thou art my portion,
O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.
59 I thought
on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.
62 At midnight
I will rise to give thanks unto thee because
of thy righteous judgments.
63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy
precepts.
64 The earth,
O LORD, is full of thy mercy:
teach me thy
statutes.

October 30 1 Timothy
1 / Isaiah 31-33 / Psalm 119.33-64
1 Timothy
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour,
and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
6 From which some having
swerved have turned
aside unto vain
jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers
of the law; understanding neither
what they say, nor
whereof they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this,
that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and
disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers,
for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons,
and if there be any other thing that
is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 According to the glorious
gospel of the blessed God, which was committed
to my trust.
12 And I thank Christ
Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he
counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I
obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding
abundant with faith
and love which is in Christ
Jesus.
15 This is a faithful
saying, and worthy
of all acceptation, that Christ
Jesus came into the world to
save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained
mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might
shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter
believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal,
invisible, the only wise God, be
honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
18 This charge I commit
unto thee, son Timothy, according
to the prophecies which went before on thee,
that thou by them mightest
war a good warfare;
8
But the liberal
deviseth liberal things;
and by liberal things shall he stand.
14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left;
the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture
of flocks;
15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a
fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
16 Then judgment
shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain
in the fruitful field.
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance
for ever.
18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
3 At the noise of the tumult
the people fled;
at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.
4 And your spoil shall be gathered
like the gathering
of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he
run upon them.
5 The LORD is exalted;
for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with
judgment and righteousness.
15 He that walketh
righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions,
that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall
dwell on high: his place of defence
shall be the munitions of rocks:
bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved;
and I will meditate in thy statutes.
63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy
precepts.
64 The earth,
O LORD, is full of thy mercy:
teach me thy
statutes.
