And who are you?
Identify yourself!
By Riqui Ricón*
But we see Jesus, who was made a
little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and
honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it
became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing
many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through
sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of
one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare
thy name unto my brethren, in the midst
of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will behold my
trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me (Hebrews
2:9- 13, KJV).
It is beautiful and edifying to find in the
Bible—which is the Word of God and does not lie—scriptures like this one that clearly
show you that paying for your
sins, forgiveness, and sanctification were not, and will never be, the ultimate
goal for which Jesus died on that cross. Both paying for all your sins
(justification), as well as forgiveness and sanctification, were necessary
requirements for a greater purpose: to make you a Son or Daughter of God.
For this, you also necessarily had to be Born Again.
For it became him, for whom are all
things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings (Hebrews
2:10, KJV).
Speaking of the Children of God, it is worth
mentioning here that it is a great mistake, and totally
contrary to the Truth, to believe that all human beings are Children of God.
He
came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive
him. Yet to all
who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s
will, but born of God (John 1:11-13, NIV).
That is, They which
are the children of the flesh, these
are not the children of God: but the children of the promise
are counted for the seed (Romans 9:8, KJV).
Thinking that everyone is a Child of God would mean there is no
difference between an evil rapist or murderer and a righteous, holy, and
perfect person. Realize that such a
way of thinking is nothing more than a strategy intended to minimize and denigrate the Identity that Jesus bought
for you at the cost of His own Life.
In the world,
this type of belief is very widespread and only serves
to neutralize anyone who, in
honor of the Truth, begins to believe that through the death and resurrection
of Jesus, they have been justified, forgiven, and sanctified to be made a Born
Again Son or Daughter of God.
See how much our heavenly Father
loves us that he allows us to be called children of God. And the most wonderful thing is that we truly are! Naturally, since most people do not know
God, they do not understand why we are (1 John
3:1, NLT).
Certainly, all human beings are creatures loved by God!
“For God loved the people of this world so much that he gave me, his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in me will not die but have eternal life. God did
not send me into the world to condemn people, but to save everyone (John
3:16-17, CEV).
God loves you so much that He preferred to give up His Own Son
rather than lose you, but believing that all human beings are Children of God
simply because they exist will nullify
the very special
distinction God has made for you
by declaring you His own Son or Daughter.
For centuries, Satan
has fought with all his might and available resources
(his lies), trying to prevent Christian Believers from finding
out that they truly are what God says in the Bible they are:
authentic and legitimate Born Again Children of God.
Whosoever believeth
that Jesus is the Christ
is born of God (1 John 5:1a, KJV).
You have believed
that Jesus is the Christ,
the Savior Messiah
of humanity; therefore,
according to the Word of God, you have been born of God.
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of
God, which liveth and abideth for ever (1 Peter
1:23, KJV).
To be born of God means that the seed that has now fathered
you is no longer corruptible,
but incorruptible: holy, righteous, and perfect. Just as God is! All because of
the infallible and unalterable Word of God.
The old sinner you used to be no longer
exists!
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become new (2
Corinthians 5:17, KJV).
You are a New Creation! You are a Born Again Son or Daughter of God!
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John
3:16-17, KJV).
God loves you so much that He preferred to give up His own Son rather
than lose you. And He did it with the express purpose of making you His
child.
Having predestinated us unto the adoption
of children by Jesus Christ to
himself, according to the good pleasure of his will (Ephesians
1:5, KJV).
Now then, God is good and He loves you, so He did not make you
His Child so that you would live sick, poor, sad, bitter, depressed, or as a failure. No! None
of that is God's will for your life!
Beloved, I wish above all things
that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I rejoiced
greatly, when the brethren came and
testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth (3 John 2-
3, KJV).
To walk in the Truth is to believe the Truth, and the
Truth is that Jesus Christ gave His Life so that you could have a New Life as a Child of God. And as your
Father, He desires
for you to prosper in everything, to have health,
and a life full of joy and peace.
This is your true Identity, and the devil
will do everything possible to prevent you from obtaining
it. The good news is that he will not be able to achieve
his purpose, because you only
have to believe—believe God, believe His Word— for the just shall
live by faith, and to him who believes, all things are possible.
So, rest assured,
you are, without
a doubt, an authentic and legitimate Born Again Son or Daughter of God.
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved heavenly Father, I find no better
way to thank You for what You have done for me than by accepting it. I find no
better way to honor the sacrifice of Your Son Jesus than by receiving the
position and Identity He acquired for me by dying on that cross. Thank You,
Jesus! Thank You so much, Lord! I believe and receive Your great and eternal
Love for me. I believe and receive my identity
as Your Child. Therefore, I
also believe and receive each and every
one of Your promises. Thank You, Lord, because there is no way I am
going to lose in this life. Thank You, Father, because You have never left me,
nor will You leave me, because You have loved me with such great love and made
me Your Child. Because of what You did on the cross, Lord Jesus, and because of
Your Word, I am healed! I am free! I am prosperous! I am more than a conqueror!
I can do all things through
Christ! And, by the Blood of Jesus,
I am blessed to live a full and abundant life. Thank You
very much, Lord Jesus. Thank You for this New Life in Fullness that I now have
as a Child of God. Thank You for my healing. Thank You for my health. Thank You
for my prosperity. Thank You for the Love, peace, and joy I now enjoy. In the
name of Jesus. Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews
2 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest
heed to the things which we
have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
3 How shall we
escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken
by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs
and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy
Ghost, according to his own will?
5 For unto the angels
hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
6 But one in a certain place testified, saying,
What is man, that thou art
mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?
7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with
glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in
subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see
not yet all things put under him.
9 But we see Jesus,
who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned
with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation
perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call
them brethren,
12 Saying, I will declare
thy name unto my brethren, in the midst
of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
14 Forasmuch then as
the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise
took part of the same;
that through death
he might destroy him that had the power of death,
that is, the devil;
15 And deliver
them who through
fear of death were all their lifetime
subject to bondage.
16 For verily
he took not on him the nature
of angels; but he took on him the
seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all
things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful
and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make
reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Genesis
28 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph,
to direct his face unto Goshen;
and they came into the land of Goshen.
29 And Joseph made
ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen,
and presented himself
unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept
on his neck a good while.
30 And Israel
said unto Joseph,
Now let me die, since
I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
31 And Joseph said unto his brethren,
and unto his father's house,
I will go up, and shew
Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in
the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and
their herds, and all that they have.
33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh
shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
34 That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth
even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may
dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the
Egyptians.
Psalm
37 Fret not thyself because
of evildoers, neither
be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily
thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself
also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires
of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the
LORD, and
wait patiently for him: fret not
thyself because of him who
prospereth in his way, because
of the man who bringeth
wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the
LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little
while, and the wicked shall
not be: yea, thou shalt
diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight
themselves in the abundance of peace.
12 The wicked
plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13 The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay
such as be of upright conversation.
15 Their sword shall enter
into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16 A little
that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the
LORD upholdeth the
righteous.
18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright:
and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies
of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into
smoke shall they consume away.
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous
sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be
cursed of him shall be cut off.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered
by the LORD: and he delighteth in his
way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly
cast down: for the
LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous
forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26
He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints;
they are preserved for ever:
but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29
The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein
for ever.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh
wisdom, and his tongue talketh
of judgment.
31
The law of his God is in his heart;
none of his steps shall slide.
32 The wicked
watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is
judged.
34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall
exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off,
thou shalt see it.
35 I have seen the wicked in great power,
and spreading himself
like a green bay tree.
36 Yet he passed away,
and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright:
for the end of that man is peace.
38 But the transgressors shall
be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 But the salvation of the righteous
is of the LORD: he is their strength in the
time of trouble.
40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver
them: he shall deliver them from
the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
