This is the Key to Your Victory!
It is the Word of God!
By Riqui Ricón*
Then he said unto them, O fools,
and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not
Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And
beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:25-27, KJV)
Usually, when you attend a conference or a gathering where the Bible
is discussed and reflected upon as the Word of God, you end up feeling very
encouraged and confident regarding the circumstances ahead of you. This is
because your spirit, your true self, has been fed and strengthened with power.
However, when you allow circumstances—the
complexity of a problem, the intensity of an argument, bad news from a medical
diagnosis, a lack of resources, etc.—to regulate your mood, you will feel sad
and dejected. You may even enter a mental state of confusion where fear and anguish dominate you.
In the same way, three
days after Jesus had been killed on a cross,
some of His disciples were walking, sad and confused, toward a village
called Emmaus.
Then, Jesus
appeared before them: And beginning at
Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:27, KJV)
Suddenly, something happened in the lives of
these men that made them forget their sadness
and the purpose or relevance of their journey;
whether it was business,
religious, or family
matters, everything took a backseat. How or why did this
happen?
If you think this radical change in mood and
attitude toward their circumstances was the result of the wonder
of seeing their Master alive and
having His presence once more, I want you to notice that, in the end, they
finished the same way regardless: alone and without the Master. However,
their lives changed
the moment the Scriptures (the Bible) were revealed to them and the Truth was uncovered
before them.
And they said one to another,
Did not our heart
burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened
to us the scriptures? And they rose up
the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered
together, and them that were with them, Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and
hath appeared to Simon. And they told what things were done in the way, and how
he was known of them in breaking of bread. (Luke
24:32-35, KJV)
Faith comes when you approach the Bible with
the right attitude—that is, considering it for what it truly is: the indisputable and infallible Word of God.
This means understanding that every single
word found written
in your Bible has come from the mouth of God;
they were spoken, first of all, by Him.
In this way, Faith flows through your entire
being when you understand that if God said it, then He will necessarily fulfill it; that if God spoke it, then without
a doubt, He will execute it.
You might think, as I used to, "Fine, I agree, but who or how
will it be fulfilled? Who or how will it be executed?" When I discovered
the answer to these questions, I was amazed at how fabulous
and simple God's plan for our lives is:
The only answer is the Word of God!
"How?" you might think. "The Word of God is going to perform
what the Word of God says?" Of course! For it
is precisely the power it has to fulfill itself that defines it as the Word of
God.
The best example to explain this I heard
from Kenneth Copeland: suppose today is Monday and the Lord Jesus physically
manifested Himself before us and, in greeting us, said, "Hello, look what
a beautiful Saturday afternoon we are having today." You and I would be
tempted to reply, "But Lord, today is Monday morning," and that, my beloved,
would be a grave mistake.
We would be overlooking a
small but very significant detail: He is God! And everything, absolutely
EVERYTHING HE says—the words that come out of His mouth—is fulfilled without a
single one failing.
So, because the words "beautiful
Saturday afternoon" came out of His mouth, what do you think will happen?
Naturally! Regardless of the date, day, or hour, it
will stop being
Monday morning and become a beautiful Saturday
afternoon, by the Word of God.
You have to reach a point in your relationship with your heavenly
Father where you understand
that every time you say the Bible is the Word of God, you are confessing that
the Bible has the intrinsic power to fulfill itself.
Therefore, if you search the Bible for
EVERYTHING concerning your need or request and put it in your mouth,
mind, and heart—declaring that you believe you receive it because it is the
Word of God—then, without a doubt, it will come to you. It is the Word of God!
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever
ye desire, when ye pray, believe
that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark
11:24, KJV)
Today, like that day of old on the road to Emmaus,
the Word of God will make
your heart burn again with the warm fire of Faith. For Faith is what springs
forth when you hear the Word of God.
So
then faith cometh
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans
10:17, KJV)
Faith is the key! Faith IS by the Word of God!
"There is a solution to your problem,
whatever it may be. If you have been looking
for the answer in one passage of the Word of God and haven't
found it, look for it in
another passage. Keep searching the Scripture and keep knocking until you find
the key you need." —Kenneth Copeland.
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved heavenly Father, today I come to You
with total certainty and full confidence in Your Word. I am deeply grateful for
Your Great Love. Today I know that You love me so much that You preferred to
give up Your own Son rather than lose me, and that, although
I was dead in my trespasses and sins,
because of this Great Love with which You loved me, You gave me Life together with Christ Jesus; by Your Grace I am
saved through faith, and even
the latter is not mine but is a gift from
You. How Great and Beautiful You are, my Lord! How wonderful is Your love for
me! In this hour, I agree with Your Eternal and Infallible Word to believe and
declare that, through the New Covenant in the Blood of Jesus, I believe and
receive my identity as a Born Again Child of God and, therefore, I receive my
healing today. I declare myself free from all ailment and disease. I speak
health and well-being to every cell, tissue, organ, and system of my being. I
reject all fear, for I have not received the spirit of bondage to be in fear
again, but I have received the spirit of adoption, and today I can say, Abba,
Father. I fix my eyes, emotions, and feelings on You, Lord Jesus, who are the
author and finisher of my Faith. I am healed! I am free! I am prosperous! I am
more than a conqueror! I can do all things through Christ!
And, by the Blood of Jesus, I am blessed
to live a full and abundant life. Thank You very
much, Lord Jesus. Thank You for this New
Life in Fullness that I now have. Thank You for my healing. Thank You for my
health.
Thank You for my prosperity. Thank You
for the love, peace, and joy that I now
enjoy. Thank You because through
Your Word, the Bible, without
a doubt, I am
and I receive all this that I have declared before Your Presence. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

4 Luke 24.13-53
/ Genesis 44 / Psalm 35
Luke
13 And, behold,
two of them went that same day to a village called
Emmaus,
which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together
of all these things which
had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that,
while they communed
together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and
went with them.
16 But their
eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye
have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 And the one of
them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are
come to pass there in these days?
19 And he said
unto them, What things? And they
said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty
in deed and word before
God and all the people:
20 And how the chief
priests and our rulers delivered
him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed
Israel: and beside all this,
to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women
also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying,
that they had also
seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 And certain
of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him
they saw not.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered
these things, and to enter into his
glory?
27 And beginning
at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things
concerning himself.
28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither
they went: and he made as
though he would have gone further.
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening,
and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to
them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished
out of their sight.
32 And they said one to another,
Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he
opened to us the scriptures?
33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them
that were with them,
34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed,
and hath appeared
to Simon.
35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith
unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified
and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in
your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle
me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye
see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken,
he shewed them his hands
and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered,
he said unto them, Have ye
here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before
them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must
be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and
in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened
he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written,
and thus it behooved Christ
to suffer, and to rise from
the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should
be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at
Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses
of these things.
49 And, behold,
I send the promise of my Father
upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued
with power from on high.
50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany,
and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed
them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned
to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple,
praising and blessing
God. Amen.
Genesis
44 And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's
sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man's money in his sack's
mouth.
2 And put my cup, the silver
cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his
corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.
3 As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their
asses.
4 And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after
the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye
rewarded evil for good?
5 Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed
he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
6
And he overtook
them, and he spake unto them these same words.
7 And they said unto him, Wherefore
saith my lord these words?
God forbid that thy servants
should do according to this thing:
8 Behold, the
money, which we found in our sacks' mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan:
how then should we steal out of thy lord's house silver or gold?
9 With whomsoever of thy servants
it be found, both let him die, and we also
will be my lord's bondmen.
10 And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words:
he with whom it
is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless.
11 Then they speedily took down every
man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.
12 And he searched, and began at the eldest,
and left at the youngest: and the cup was
found in Benjamin's sack.
13 Then they rent their clothes, and laded every man his ass, and returned to the city.
14 And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph's
house; for he was yet there:
and they fell before him on the ground.
15 And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? wot ye
not that such a man as I can certainly divine?
16 And Judah said,
What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear
ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity
of thy servants: behold, we are my lord's servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
17 And he said, God forbid that I should
do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant;
and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
18 Then Judah came near unto him, and said,
Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray
thee, speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy
servant: for thou art even as Pharaoh.
19 My lord asked his servants, saying,
Have ye a father, or a brother?
20 And we said unto
my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little
one; and his brother is dead, and he alone
is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.
21 And thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.
22 And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father:
for if he should leave his
father, his father would die.
23 And thou saidst unto thy servants,
Except your youngest
brother come down with you,
ye shall see my face no more.
24 And it came to pass when we came up unto thy servant
my father, we told
him the words of my lord.
25 And our father said,
Go again, and buy us a little
food.
26 And we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest
brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see
the man's face, except our youngest brother be with us.
27 And thy servant my father said unto us, Ye know that my wife bare me two sons:
28 And the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces;
and I saw him not since:
29 And if ye take this also from me, and mischief
befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to
the grave.
30 Now therefore
when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound
up in the lad's life;
31 It shall
come to pass,
when he seeth that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and thy servants shall bring
down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave.
32 For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying,
If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my
father for ever.
33 Now therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide instead of the lad a
bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brethren.
34 For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest
peradventure I see the evil that shall come on my father.
Psalm
35 Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive
with me: fight against them that fight against me.
2 Take hold of shield
and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
3 Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against
them that persecute
me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
4 Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to
confusion that devise my hurt.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.
6 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the
LORD persecute them.
7 For without
cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my
soul.
8 Let destruction come upon him at unawares;
and let his net that he hath hid
catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
9
And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice
in his salvation.
10 All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that
is too strong for him, yea, the poor
and the needy from him that spoileth
him?
11 False witnesses
did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.
12
They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling
of my soul.
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing
was sackcloth: I humbled
my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
14 I behaved
myself as though
he had been my friend
or brother: I bowed
down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
15 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the
abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did
tear me, and ceased not:
16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts,
they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
17 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions,
my darling from the lions.
18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise
thee among much people.
19 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me
without a cause.
20 For they speak not peace: but they devise
deceitful matters against
them that are quiet in the land.
21 Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said,
Aha, aha, our eye
hath seen it.
22 This thou hast seen, O
LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.
23 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God
and my Lord.
24 Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not
rejoice over me.
25 Let them not say in their
hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
26 Let them be ashamed
and brought to confusion together
that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with
shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
