What does God say about the New Year?

December 31st

Year of Splendor!

By Riqui Ricón*

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. (Luke 5.4-7).

Today is a day to believe and declare. Believe and declare what the Bible, God’s Word which doesn’t lie, say about you and the times you are living.

This is why I believe and declare that next year is the year you will reign using the abundant Grace that is upon you. It will be a year where you will reach the Splendor of the Lord’s Glory!

In this day in particular, when everyone is celebrating the arrival of a new year, before the growing threats of financial crisis, health problems, violence and organized crime everywhere, family crisis, total and absolute loss of human values, weather changes, global warming, hunger, wars, hurricanes, tsunamis, illegal migration etc., it is a good time to remember that father, man of family that, desperate, searched for Jesus to ask him for HELP for is sick child who none of the disciples could heal.

And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. (Mark 9.21-23).

Wow! What a chutzpah! To say to Jesus “If you can do something”. Well, maybe you are facing this new year with the same plea toward Him. I don’t know, maybe your problems and needs are overwhelming you to a point where you can’t find any other way out but to plea to Him: “if you can do something, have mercy on me and help me!”

Well, I have very good news; look at the answer Jesus gave that overwhelmed father: If you can believe, all things are possible to those who believe!

And when Jesus says “all” He means, exactly, ALL.

Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mark 11.22-24 NIV).

It doesn’t matter if your circumstances say the contrary, for your circumstances will never be able to change the truth but, with Jesus Christ and the Truth of His Word, be sure that, your circumstances will always change.

Peter Simon had been working all night without fishing anything and before a shortage reality and fruitless work Jesus asked Peter to row into open sea and cast the netS (plurar), for He had planned for them a year of abundant plentitude. However, even though Peter said he’d do it because of His Word, he only casted A net (singular) and the net was breaking.

Interesting, isn’t it? While God plans for you to live your life in His abundant Blessing, all the forces of hell and its apparent reality work so you DON’T believe it and, as Peter, act out of discipline casting only one old net.

“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the roach of your widowhood. For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. (Isa 54.2-5 NVI).

The beautiful part of this story is that Jesus did not reproach Peter for his incredulity but, even though he was short to miss the most amazing and abundant fishing he had ever had, Jesus gave it to him with His Love and Fatherly heart.

SEE HOW VERY MUCH our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children—think of it—and we really are! But since most people don’t know God, naturally they don’t understand that we are his children. (1 John 3.1 LB).

Despite all circumstance or reality you are facing today living this precise moment, get ready to receive the New Year with happiness, joy and expectation, for the next year is the year where you will reign to do great works in God’s Kingdom through the abundant Grace which is upon you.

It will be a year of Splendor! The Glory of Jehovah will shine upon you once more!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him (John 3.16-17 NIV).

This will be like this through your faith, for God only asks you to believe, to believe to Him, believe His Word, the Bible. And it is the Bible the one who clearly states that God loves you so much that He preferred to give up His own Son before losing you.

God did not keep back his own Son, but he gave him for us. If God did this, won’t he freely give us everything else? (Ro 8.32 CEV).

So, only stay steady in God’s Word and declare with audible voice over your New Year:

Dear heavenly Father, in this last day of the year I face my future perfectly knowing who I am: Your loved Child! In Your Word, the Bible, I establish that this New Year:

  • I can do all in Christ who strengthens me!
  • I am God’s and I have conquered because the One in me is greater than the one in the world!
  • For sure Jesus Christ carried my diseases and suffered my pains and by his wounds I HAVE ALREADY BEEN HEALED!
  • I am more than a conqueror in all things through He who loved me, Jesus Christ!
  • He who was begotten by God, Jesus Christ, keeps me and the evil one won’t touch me!

Lord, my God, next year will be for me a year of Achievement through Your abundant Grace. It will be a year of Splendor! So, I will live this next year, from January to December:

  • In health, free from diseases.
  • Without fear at all for I will not fail.
  • Without fear of bad news, for my heart is firm, trusting in You, Lord, and in Your Word of Honor. My heart is insured!

I reject poverty and shortage and I declare that all next year I will proceed with Your Blessing, and there will be goods and riches in my house. I established the Love, Peace and Joy in my family and all my relationships. You and I, Holy Spirit, will make this New Year the best year of my life. I will not fear! You, Lord, are my light and my hope. You are the strength of my life! Who will I fear? I know well that, before any possible economical or social problem, a thousand will fall to my side and ten thousand to my right but none will reach me. As for You, oh God, I have set my love in, You will also free me; set me up high, for I have known Your name. In this next year I will invoke you, and You will answer, You will be with me in the anguish; you will free me and glorify me. You will satiate of long life and show me Your salvation. New Year! I will reign and do great works for God’s Kingdom through His abundant Grace. I will live in the Splendor of Jehovah’s Glory in my life! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Note of importance:

How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish my relationship with the Almighty?

Simply say this prayer, placing all of your attention and heart into what you’re saying to God:

Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God. That you came to this world from the Virgen Mary to pay for all of my sins, and I have been a sinner. This is why today I tell you, I accept. I accept your sacrifice on the cross! Yes, I accept Your precious Blood, spilled to the very last drop, out of love for me! I open my heart to you and invite you in, because I want you, oh Lord Jesus, to be my one and only Savior, my God, my King, my Lord. Thank you, God Almighty, for with this simple prayer and declaration of faith I have come from death to Life, I have been displaced from the shadows and into Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Reborn! God I am now Your Child! You are now my Father! I will never again be alone! Never again will I live defeated. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
