You Will Make This Year the Best Year of Your Life!

         <ESPAÑOL>

January 1st

You Will Make This Year the Best Year

of Your Life!

By Riqui Ricón*

But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved (Luke 5:38, KJV).

It is always beautiful to receive a present. Opening a gift bag or unwrapping a package we have just received is exciting. It’s about the surprise of receiving something new that we don’t yet know. You can begin this new year today with that same feeling and expectation, because the best days of your life are ahead of you.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV).

No matter how old you are, the Bible—which is the Word of God and does not lie—is no respecter of persons and teaches you clearly that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, ALL things are made NEW. Now, either this is true or it isn't. There is no middle ground!

For God is faithful, and he knows that our message to you is not a flickering "yes" and "no." For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not represent any hesitation; nor is he a simultaneous "Yes" and "No," since he is God's "Yes." In Christ, all the promises of God are "Yes" and "Amen"; that is, they are confirmed. And for the glory of God they are fulfilled in us, those of us who belong to Christ (2 Corinthians 1:18-20, NIV).

Good news! You can begin this New Year knowing that the promises of God are confirmed, and for the glory of God they shall be fulfilled in your life, because you belong to Christ!

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith [by believing God, believing His Word] from first to last, just as it is

written: “The righteous will live by faith [by believing God, believing His Word]”

(Romans 1:17, NIV).

Beloved, do not be deceived by the accuser, who is the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning; do not allow him to steal your hope with his lies. He will scream in your ear, "No! I'm not lying. This is reality. Etc."; but you must strengthen yourself in the Lord and in the power of His might, stand firm in the Word of God and declare: "That may be the reality, devil, but I know the Truth, and the Truth is that I am a born-again child of God and—get this straight—I am more than a conqueror and I can do ALL things, absolutely ALL things, through Christ Jesus who strengthens me."

That’s right! You are that New Creation the Bible speaks of! You are the new wine that God has prepared to sweeten and bring joy to this year that is beginning! In the New Year, you are, and will continue to be, a child of the Almighty God!

Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins (Mark 2:22, NIV).

Remember that new wine is put into new wineskins.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will (Romans 12:2, NIV).

Do not listen to other voices! Listen only to the Voice of your heavenly Father who encourages you to change your old way of thinking. Renew yourself in the spirit of your mind with the Word of God, the Bible, and wait with joy and happiness for the best from Him in this year that is beginning.

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24, NIV).

Despite everything the devil says, screams, or kicks about, you—and only you—are that new man (woman); that born-again child of God, created according to God in the righteousness and holiness of the truth.

That’s right, the Bible is talking about you!

You can start this year knowing that it is a year of SPLENDOR, where the Abundant Grace that is upon you will manifest so that you develop the maximum potential in your life, health, family, economy, and ministry.

Therefore, take hold of the Word of God, the Bible, and make it happen. Believe Him, and make the reading and meditation of the Word of God the maximum priority in your life.

Receive Abundant Grace to reign!

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalm 1:1-3, KJV).

As difficult as it may seem, you are now this blessed man (woman), and you are destined, by the Word of God, to be—in this New Year—a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and whose leaf does not wither; everything you do shall prosper.

How can you make this possible? Simple!

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8, KJV).

It is written! Make a firm purpose to read and meditate on the ENTIRE Bible during this year; put it in your mind, mouth, and heart, and faith will grow in you. You will begin to keep and do everything written in it, and then (not before, nor after, nor in any other way), you will make your way prosperous and everything will turn out well for you.

God says it! And if God says it is so, then it must be the Truth and it will be fulfilled.

Another very important and necessary thing for starting this year is to always remember that:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17, KJV).

Because of the love God feels for you, Jesus went to the cross and paid the price for all your sins to adopt you into His family as a legitimate child and make you a partaker of His nature through all these precious and magnificent promises.

See what large love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and as such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know him (1 John 3:1, NIV).

Since you are that legitimate and beloved child of God, strip off the old corrupted nature as if it were an old garment. Renew yourself in the spirit of your mind, knowing and believing that you are a child of the Most High God, and begin to reign with Abundant Grace, for this year is the year of your SPLENDOR

O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee (Psalm 84:12, KJV). Believe God! Believe His Word!

Take each and every one of His promises and live this year knowing that heaven and earth will sooner cease to exist before God, your Father, fails to fulfill His Word to you. Trust in Him and you will be blessed, for He will do it.

Prepare to reign using the Abundant Grace that God, your Father, has given you!

Let’s pray out loud:

Beloved Heavenly Father, today I prepare to begin a new year with the certainty and conviction of who I am. Lord Jesus, because of what You did out of love for me, I now have an identity: I am a born-again child of God. Today I

certainly forget what is behind and reach forward to what is ahead—the goal, the prize of the high calling of living this life as a child of the King. How can I ever repay all this! How could I not live in Your Abundant Grace, precious God!

I declare, in the name of Jesus, that this year will be the best year of my life. This is the year of my healing and of a life in health. I call forth economic prosperity and the restoration of all family bonds. I bless my house and my family, declaring that You, glorious Holy Spirit, will never be lacking in the lives and hearts of my loved ones and that Your Word will dwell abundantly in all of us. I call forth the light and the freedom that comes from knowing I am a born- again child of God. New Year, you will be the year of my Splendor where I will reign through Abundant Grace. In all things, I will come out more than a conqueror through Your love, my Lord Jesus! I can do all things! I am healed! I am free! I am prosperous! Love, joy, and peace are the characteristics of my new nature in Christ! In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Important Note:

How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the Almighty?

Just say the following prayer aloud, putting all your attention and heart into what you are saying to God:

Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. That You came into this world, born of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my heart to You and invite You in because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my God, my King, and my Lord.

Thank You, Almighty God, because with this simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Three Recommendations:

What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life, according to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore, I give you these three, very important, recommendations:

1.    Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice how God always responds to your heart.

2.    Read and meditate on the Word of God. The Bible is the Word of God, so get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day, look up the reading program “The

Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.

3.    In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based on the Good News, which are the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God

Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the entire Bible.

January 1    Luke 5.27-39 / Genesis 1-2 / Psalm 1 Luke

27  And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi,

sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.

28  And he left all, rose up, and followed him.

29  And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

30  But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

31  And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

32  I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

33  And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

34  And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

35  But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

36  And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.

37  And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.

38  But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

39  No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

Genesis

1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4  And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5  And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6  And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7  And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8  And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9  And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10  And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11  And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12  And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13  And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14  And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15  And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16  And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17  And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18  And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19  And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20  And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21  And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22  And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23  And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24  And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25  And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29  And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30  And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31  And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.

And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2  And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3  And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

4  These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

5  And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

6  But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

8  And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

9  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

10  And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11  The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12  And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13  And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14  And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

15  And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16  And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

18  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

19  And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20  And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

21  And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22  And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

25  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Psalm

1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4  The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5  Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6  For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
