How Not to Be Defeated in the Apocalypse!

You Are More Than a Conqueror!

By Riqui Ricón*

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God... He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death... To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it... And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s

vessels’—as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 2:7,11,17,26-29 KJV)

Today, the Bible, which is the Word of God and does not lie, asks you to pay close attention to what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church. And what is He saying? We win!

No matter the problem, sickness, or adverse circumstance you are facing today, the good news is that in Christ Jesus, you have already won.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39 KJV)

You have been predestined and empowered by the Word of God to overcome, for because Christ Jesus conquered death in your place, you have conquered death with Him. And not only death, but also sadness, sickness, bitterness, hatred, resentment, poverty, and any need that tries to steal the joy and peace of knowing and believing that you are now a true and legitimate Child of God, Born Again.

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15 KJV)

Just pay close attention, for it is not by your strength or abilities that you have overcome and will overcome, it is by your FAITH! It is by believing God, believing His Word!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

(Hebrews 11:1 KJV)

Only when you have the absolute certainty that God does NOT lie and that, therefore, you ARE exactly the person that God says in His Word, the Bible, that you are, then you will have overcome and will be able to live, walk, and breathe as a Conqueror.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17 NIV)

It is believing God, believing His Word, that gives you access to the Power of God, for whatever problem, sickness, or affliction you are facing today, the Good News of the Gospel is revealed to you today, as you realize how God makes you righteous in His eyes, which is accomplished from start to finish by your faith (by believing God, believing His Word). As the Scriptures say: “It is through faith that the righteous have life.”

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT)

“To him who overcomes I will give... and I will make him (her)...” says the Lord

in Revelation. But unless you see yourself through the Bible and use the Word

of God as the mirror where you acquire your True Identity, you will not be able to defeat, to receive what Christ Jesus acquired for you.

It is the Bible that establishes that, despite your circumstances, you are to conquer in this world.

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him... For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:1, 4-5 KJV)

1.    Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ? I know you do. Then you are Born of God. You are a Child of God, Born Again!

2.    Every Child of God OVERCOMES the world. Not just the holiest, or the anointed, or those who pray or fast; the scripture says EVERY Child of God. So, indeed, you and I overcome the world. How?

3.    With our FAITH, for this is the victory that overcomes the world, our FAITH. It is when you BELIEVE God, believing His Word, that you truly begin to overcome.

4.    So: Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

This is what the Bible says, which is the Word of Honor of God, who does not lie; therefore, you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you, Christ Jesus.

There is no way you can lose!

Now you can understand that when Scripture says “To him who overcomes,” it is referring to you. It does not say you will overcome if you try hard or pay the price or feel worthy. No! None of that! Who is it referring to? To him who overcomes. And who is the one who overcomes? The one who BELIEVES that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Because to the one who BELIEVES, ALL things are possible.

“How long has this been happening to him?” Jesus asked the boy’s father. He replied, “Since he was a little boy. The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.” “What

do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:21-24 NLT)

Say this declaration out loud: I, <name>, believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; therefore, according to the Bible, which is the Word of God who does not lie, I am a son/daughter of God, BORN AGAIN, and I overcome the world. I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me, Christ Jesus!

Let us pray aloud:

Beloved Heavenly Father, thank You so much because in Your Word, the Words that have come from Your mouth, You have declared me Your child through faith in Christ Jesus. I,                                  (your name here), believe that Jesus is the Lord, the Christ, my Savior. For this, I am eternally grateful to You, Lord Jesus; because Your sacrifice was complete, perfect, and finished. Nothing was left undone. I have been justified by Your Blood and by Your Life I have received Eternal Life, the full and abundant Life that only the Children of God can enjoy. Thank You because Your Word, the Bible, gives me the ability to, regarding my former way of life, put off the old man (woman), which is corrupted by deceitful desires, and be renewed in the spirit of my mind, and put on the new man (woman), created according to God in righteousness and true holiness. I am that one who has already overcome, for I am what You, God, say in Your Word that I am: Your beloved child. Therefore, I know that I know, and so I declare, that in every problem, sickness, or affliction, I will come out more than a conqueror through Your Love, Christ Jesus. I can do all things! I reject every thought or feeling of condemnation in my life! I am Born Again! I walk, live, think, and breathe according to the Spirit! I am not conformed to my flesh! The law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death! I am determined, with Your help, Holy Spirit, to stand firm in the freedom with which Christ has made me free and I will never again be subject to a yoke of bondage! So, with this authority that You have given me, Father, I resist the spirit of fear and doubt, I cast out of my life sickness, poverty, sadness, and depression. I receive my health, prosperity, freedom, and joy. I am healed! I am free! I am prosperous! I am blessed! And I have already overcome. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Important Note:

How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the Almighty?

Just say the following prayer out loud, putting all your attention and heart into what you are saying to God:

Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. That You came to this world from the virgin Mary to pay for all my sins, and I have been a sinner. Therefore, today I say to You that I accept. I accept Your sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my heart and invite You to come in because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my God, my King, and my Lord.

Thank You, Almighty God, because with this simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Three Recommendations:

What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life, according to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore, I give you these three, very important, recommendations:

1.    Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice how God always responds to your heart.

2.    Read and meditate on the Word of God. The Bible is the Word of God, so get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day, look up the reading program “The Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.

3.    In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based on the Good News, which are the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

October 2    Revelation 2 / Nehemiah 3 / Psalm 97

Revelation

2  Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

3  And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

4  Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

6  But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

8  And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

9  I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

10  Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

11  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

12  And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

13  I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

14  But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

15  So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

16  Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

18  And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

19  I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

20  Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23  And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

24  But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

25  But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26  And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27  And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

28  And I will give him the morning star.

29  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Psalms

97 The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

2  Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

3  A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

4  His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

5  The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6  The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

7  Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.

8  Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

9  For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

10  Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

11  Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

12  Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
