How to Know God Will Answer Your Prayers!
The Best Father in the World
By Riqui Ricón*
I cried out to the Lord in my distress,
and he answered me. (Psalm
120:1, KJV)
There is nothing
better in this world than knowing that at any moment, under any circumstance, you can always
count on the support and help of your Heavenly Father.
You are not alone! He has never left you, and He never will! He has promised
it, and He put it in writing by giving you His Word:
Call to me and I will answer
you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not
know. (Jeremiah 33:3, NIV)
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will
be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who
knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7–8, NIV)
He who did not spare
his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give
us all things? (Romans 8:32, NIV)
Do you see it? God’s will is to help you. His desire is for you to ask Him so that
He can answer you and give you all things.
For God so loved the world that he gave his
one and only Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal
life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16–17, NIV)
He loves you so much that He gave His own Son to pay for all your sins so that you would not be lost.
So let us come boldly to the throne
of our gracious God. There we will receive
his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews
4:16, NLT)
Because of what Jesus did on the cross, you can come boldly before the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find
grace to help you in time of need.
I myself said, “How gladly would I
treat you like my children and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful
inheritance of any nation.” I thought you would call me ‘Father’
and not turn away from following me. (Jeremiah 3:19, NIV)
God established in His Word, the Bible, that
you would call Him “My Father” and that you would never turn away from Him
again. God spoke it with His mouth and fulfilled it with His power, for now, in
Christ Jesus, you have been made a son or daughter
of the Most High God, and He will always be available to you.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed
us in the heavenly realms
with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the
creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he
predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with
his pleasure and will. (Ephesians 1:3–5, NIV)
Pay close attention, because in Christ
Jesus you have already been blessed with every spiritual blessing. It’s not
that you will be blessed someday or
under certain conditions—you are already blessed
by God.
In the same way, you were chosen by God
before the foundation of the world so that you would be holy and blameless through Jesus Christ.
Can you imagine that? Of course! He is God—and there is nothing
impossible for Him.
He always planned
it this way, and neither
Satan nor his demons, nor death,
nor sin could stop Him from calling
you His son or daughter
since before the foundation of the world.
All because of His love for you!
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2
Corinthians 5:21, NIV)
Maybe you didn’t know this, but when you
accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, all
your sins were paid for. That’s why you were declared righteous before God,
and at that moment you were set apart—sanctified—to receive Eternal Life. It
was then, when you received that New Nature that only the Word of God can give, that you were Born Again as a son or daughter of God.
See how very much our Father loves
us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people
who belong to this world don’t recognize
that we are God’s children
because they don’t know him. (1 John 3:1, NLT)
Being a son or daughter of God, Born Again,
is not just a religious phrase—it’s the Truth! In fact, this was the very reason
Jesus Christ came to earth: to justify you, to cleanse you from all sin,
and to give you Eternal Life so that He could make you into the son or daughter
He always dreamed of.
Christ Jesus is the best thing that could ever happen
to you in this world.
Which of you, if your son asks for
bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then,
though you are evil, know how to give
good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good
things to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:9–11, NIV)
If this is true for earthly
parents, how much more true—and
better—for you, because you are a child of the best Father in the
world!
So, as you can see, no matter what your life
looks like today, you can live a full and abundant life. You can call upon God, and He will answer you! You can face
any circumstance knowing that God, your Father, the Almighty, is with you.
And if God is for you, who can be against you?
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved Heavenly Father, the more I read and
meditate on Your Word, the more I see the Truth—I realize You love me so much I
can hardly express it. Thank You, precious
God. Through the blood of Your Son Jesus, You have made me Your child. I am no longer a
sinner condemned to eternal death, but
through You, through Jesus, through Your
Love, I now have Eternal Life. I can live it in peace, joy, and happiness, for
even though in this world I will face troubles, I can fully trust in Your Word,
and I will come out victorious from them all. I ask Your forgiveness for allowing
fear and doubt to take
place in my heart about
my future, and I declare
that I am the child
of God Your Word says I am—righteous, holy, healed,
prosperous, joyful, filled with peace and love. I have not received a spirit of
slavery to fall back into fear, but I have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom I cry out, Abba, Father! Therefore, I cast off all fear and the sin that so easily
entangles me, and I will run with patience and endurance the race set before
me. With Your help, Holy Spirit, I will make my life that full and abundant
life You planned for me, for greater is He who is in me than he who is in the
world. I believe and declare that I am healed! I am free! I am prosperous! I am joyful!
I am a Born-Again child of God! In the name
of Jesus, Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God
Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the
entire Bible.
November 4 1 Timothy
5.23-6.21 / Jeremiah
3-4 / Psalm 119.120
1 Timothy
5. 23 Drink no longer
water, but use a little
wine for thy stomach's sake and
thine often infirmities.
24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some
men they follow after.
25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are
otherwise cannot be hid.
6 Let as many servants
as are under the yoke count their own masters
worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not
blasphemed.
2 And they that have believing masters,
let them not despise them,
because they are brethren;
but rather do them service,
because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit.
These things teach and exhort.
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome
words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to
the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing
nothing, but doting about questions
and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife,
railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds,
and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness:
from such withdraw thyself.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing
into this world,
and it is certain we can carry nothing
out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare,
and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which
drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and
pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith,
lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art
also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
13 I give thee charge
in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before
Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14 That thou keep this commandment without
spot, unrebukable, until the
appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Who only hath
immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and
power everlasting. Amen.
17 Charge them that
are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches,
but in the living God, who giveth us richly
all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready
to distribute, willing to
communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to
come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
20 O Timothy,
keep that which is committed to thy trust,
avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of
science falsely so called:
21
Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee.
Amen.
Jeremiah
1
The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests
that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
2 To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon
king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim
the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah
the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in
the fifth month.
4
Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest
forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet
unto the nations.
6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold,
I cannot speak:
for I am a child.
7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child:
for thou shalt
go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I
command thee thou shalt speak.
8 Be not afraid of their faces:
for I am with thee to deliver
thee, saith the LORD.
9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the
LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy
mouth.
10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations
and over the kingdoms, to root
out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an
almond tree.
12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
13 And the word of
the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof
is toward the north.
14 Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
15 For, lo, I will call all the families
of the kingdoms of the north, saith the
LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one
his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls
thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
16 And I will utter my judgments
against them touching
all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have
burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
17 Thou therefore
gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their
faces, lest I confound thee before them.
18 For, behold, I
have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen
walls against the whole land,
against the kings
of Judah, against
the princes thereof, against
the priests thereof,
and against the people
of the land.
19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against
thee; for I am with thee,
saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
2 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the
LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth,
the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a
land that was not sown.
3 Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of his increase:
all that devour him shall
offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.
4 Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families
of the house of Israel:
5 Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers
found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have
walked after vanity, and are become vain?
6 Neither said
they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of
the land of Egypt, that led us through
the wilderness, through
a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of
the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no
man dwelt?
7 And I brought you
into a plentiful country, to eat the
fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.
8 The priests said
not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the
law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against
me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after
things that do not profit.
9 Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the
LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.
10 For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there
be such a thing.
11 Hath a nation changed
their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people
have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
12 Be astonished, O ye heavens,
at this, and be horribly
afraid, be ye very
desolate, saith the LORD.
13 For my people
have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters,
and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
14 Is Israel
a servant? is he a homeborn slave?
why is he spoiled?
15 The young lions roared
upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste:
his cities are burned without inhabitant.
16 Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken the crown of thy
head.
17 Hast thou not procured
this unto thyself,
in that thou hast forsaken
the LORD thy God,
when he led thee by the way?
18 And now what hast
thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria,
to drink the waters of the
river?
19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee,
and thy backslidings shall reprove thee:
know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast
forsaken the LORD thy God, and that
my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
20 For of old time I
have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the
harlot.
21 Yet I had planted
thee a noble vine, wholly
a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of
a strange vine unto me?
22 For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith
the Lord GOD.
23 How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after
Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou
hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
24 A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure;
in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary
themselves; in her month they shall find her.
25 Withhold thy foot
from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There
is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.
26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes,
and their priests, and their prophets.
27 Saying to a stock,
Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought
me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face:
but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.
28 But where
are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise,
if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number
of thy cities are thy gods, O
Judah.
29 Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD.
30 In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own
sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.
31 O generation, see ye the word of the
LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness?
wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee?
32 Can a maid forget
her ornaments, or a bride
her attire? yet my people
have forgotten me days without number.
33 Why trimmest
thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught
the wicked ones thy ways.
34 Also in thy skirts
is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.
35
Yet thou sayest,
Because I am innocent, surely
his anger shall turn from me.
Behold, I will plead with thee,
because thou sayest,
I have not sinned.
36 Why gaddest
thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be
ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.
37 Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the
LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not
prosper in them.
Psalm
120 In my distress I cried unto the
LORD, and he heard me.
2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3 What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false
tongue?
4 Sharp arrows
of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn
in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7 I am for peace:
but when I speak, they are for war.

November 4 1 Timothy
5.23-6.21 / Jeremiah
3-4 / Psalm 119.120
1 Timothy
5. 23 Drink no longer
water, but use a little
wine for thy stomach's sake and
thine often infirmities.
24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some
men they follow after.
25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are
otherwise cannot be hid.
6 Let as many servants
as are under the yoke count their own masters
worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not
blasphemed.
2 And they that have believing masters,
let them not despise them,
because they are brethren;
but rather do them service,
because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit.
These things teach and exhort.
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome
words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to
the doctrine which is according to godliness;
13 I give thee charge
in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before
Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14 That thou keep this commandment without
spot, unrebukable, until the
appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Who only hath
immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and
power everlasting. Amen.
17 Charge them that
are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches,
but in the living God, who giveth us richly
all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready
to distribute, willing to
communicate;
23 How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after
Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou
hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
24 A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure;
in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary
themselves; in her month they shall find her.
