What Is God’s Will for Your Life?

    <ESPAÑOL>

What Is God’s Will for Your Life?

Good, Pleasing, and Perfect!

By Riqui Ricón*

But this is what I commanded them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. (Jeremiah 7:23, KJV)

The sooner you understand that everything written in the Bible, the Word of God, was written for your benefit, the sooner you’ll be able to believe and receive the full and abundant life that Jesus purchased for you when He died on the cross.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:8–9, NIV)

It’s that simple! The key to your life is to make the Bible your foundation and guiding principle. Put God’s Word in your mind, in your mouth, and in your heart! Read and meditate on the Bible every day of your life—day and night.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12, KJV)

The Word of God is alive and powerful to produce in your life the faith you need to believe and make happen every single thing God has said about you.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

God’s will and desire for you has always been good, pleasing, and perfect. And

the most beautiful truth of all is that God loves you. Yes, my friend, God loves

you so much that He chose to give His own Son to pay the price for your sins rather than lose you.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16–17, NIV)

It is because of His great love for you that God has spoken words of blessing and good over your life. He loves you so much that He designed a plan in which all your sins would be paid for through the life of His Son, Jesus, to justify you, sanctify you, perfect you, forgive you, and give you Eternal Life—a life that only Born-Again children of God can enjoy.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV)

Now, in Christ Jesus, the best part of your life has already begun. A completely new path starts at your feet—one already blessed by God your Father. And even though you will certainly face afflictions in this world, you can live in

peace, because by God’s Word of Honor, you can be certain that you will come out more than a conqueror over any problem, sickness, or trial through Him who loved you, Christ Jesus.

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? I received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it. (Numbers 23:19–20, NLT)

God has established it in His Word, and if God said it, He will fulfill it. If God spoke it, He will carry it out. God does not lie!

For all these reasons, the time has come—and it is now—for you to make reading and meditating on the Bible the highest priority in your life.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. (1 John 3:1, NIV)

Only in the Bible can you truly know and believe the love that God has given you.

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. (3 John 1:2, NIV)

Only in the Bible can you know and believe the good, pleasing, and perfect will God has for you.

But those who drink the water I give will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life. (John 4:14, NLT)

The Bible, God’s Word, is the source of the water of eternal life flowing in you. It is the seed planted in the good soil of your heart, which will bear fruit a hundredfold.

So, God loves you, and He wants things to go well for you and for you to live a good life. Therefore, you can begin to believe and receive this love God has for you by aligning your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and words with His Word.

Submit to God, submit to His Word, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. For Satan comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but now Jesus is with you to give you that good and abundant life that He already paid for by shedding the last drop of His blood out of love for you.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2, NLT)

Always remember that everything written in the Bible about you will come to pass—it is the Word of God!

It is the Word of Honor!

Let’s pray out loud:

Beloved Heavenly Father, today I want to thank You for Your Word, the Bible. Lord, I know that You do not lie, that the Bible is Your Word of Honor, and therefore my heart is firm and confident in You, Lord Jesus. By Your Word, my

heart is secure, and I will not fear. By Your Word, I know that I have set the Lord, my hope, the Most High, as my dwelling place. No harm will overtake me, nor will any plague come near my home. For You will command Your angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways. They will lift me up in their hands, so that my foot will not strike a stone. I will tread on the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent. Because I have placed Your love in me, You will also deliver me; You will exalt me, because I know Your name. I will call on You, and You will answer me; You will be with me in my distress.

You will deliver me and bring glory to Yourself. You will satisfy me with long life and show me Your salvation. I am healed; I am free to live that full and abundant life that is written about me. Lord Jesus, You are the source of the water of Eternal Life flowing in me. Amen.

Important Note:

How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the Almighty?

Just say the following prayer aloud, putting all your attention and heart into what you are saying to God:

Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. That You came into this world, born of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my heart to You and invite You in because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my God, my King, and my Lord.

Thank You, Almighty God, because with this simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Three Recommendations:

What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life, according to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer

as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore, I give you these three, very important, recommendations:

1.    Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice how God always responds to your heart.

2.    Read and meditate on the Word of God. The Bible is the Word of God, so get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day, look up the reading program “The

Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.

3.    In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based on the Good News, which are the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God

Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the entire Bible.

November 6    2 Timothy 2 / Jeremiah 7-8 / Psalm 122

2 Timothy

2 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

3  Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

5  And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

6  The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

7  Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

8  Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

9  Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

10  Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

11  It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

12  If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

13  If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

14  Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

17  And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

18  Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

19  Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

20  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

22  Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

23  But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

24  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

25  In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

26  And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Jeremiah

7 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2  Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.

3  Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

4  Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.

5  For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;

6  If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:

7  Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

8  Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

9  Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

10  And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

11  Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.

12  But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

13  And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;

14  Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

15  And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

16  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

17  Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

18  The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

19  Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

20  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

21  Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.

22  For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

23  But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

24  But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

25  Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:

26  Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

27  Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

28  But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

29  Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.

30  For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.

31  And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.

32  Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.

33  And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.

34  Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

8 At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:

2  And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.

3  And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.

4  Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?

5  Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

6  I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.

7  Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.

8  How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.

9  The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?

10  Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

11  For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

12  Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

13  I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.

14  Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.

15  We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!

16  The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.

17  For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD.

18  When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.

19  Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?

20  The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

21  For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.

22  Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

Psalm

122 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

2  Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3  Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:

4  Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

5  For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

7  Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

8  For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

9  Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
