Can anything or anyone
defeat you in this life?
I will not fear, I will only believe!
By Riqui Ricón*
The Lord is my light and my
salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom
shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes,
came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I
be confident. (Psalm 27:1-3, KJV)
Once again, the Bible, which is the Word of
God and does not lie, teaches you that whatever circumstances you are going through today, you can be sure and
confident that God will come through for you and respond in your favor.
You may ask me, how can you be so sure that
He will come to the aid of a person like me? It is actually easy to have full certainty
of this, as Scripture
itself—God’s Word of Honor—assures you in the following way:
When my father and my mother
forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.
(Psalm 27:10, KJV)
Can a woman forget
her sucking child,
that she should
not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not
forget thee. (Isaiah 49:15, KJV)
As you can see, the Love God feels for you is greater than that of
an earthly father or mother.
It is the Love of God the Father, who loves you so much that
He preferred to give up His own Son to pay for ALL your sins rather than lose
you for all eternity.
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John
3:16-17, KJV)
The living and true God, creator of everything visible
and invisible, the almighty
God is your own Father and you can call Him Abba, Father, Daddy!
Whosoever believeth
that Jesus is the Christ
is born of God.
(1 John 5:1a, KJV)
See how much the heavenly Father
loves us that he allows us to be called children of God. And the most wonderful thing is that we truly are! (1 John 3:1a, NIV)
For as many as are led by the
Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received
the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself
beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children
of God. (Romans 8:14-16, KJV)
I insist that, whatever circumstances you are going
through today, you can
with all reason, emphatically and clearly, declare:
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the
strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
The faith you need today to move those mountains of sickness,
sadness, poverty, and depression can only come from one place: that you have the
revelation (the conviction) of how much God loves you.
If you truly know yourself
to be the beloved Son or Daughter
of the only living and true
God (and by the Blood of Jesus
Christ, you truly are!), then you
have no motive or reason to worry or to be in anxious unrest.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared
not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us
all things? (Romans 8:31-32, KJV)
So, my beloved,
do not fear, only believe! God has not
left you and will never leave you. No matter
how ugly and impossible your circumstances, problems, illnesses, or afflictions may
seem, the Word of Honor of your God and Father stands above them all.
If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free. (John 8:31b-32, KJV)
You are free to live a Full and Abundant
Life!
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might
have peace. In the
world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the
world. (John 16:33, KJV)
It is true that in this world you will have afflictions, but in the midst of every
conflict or affliction, you can trust and enjoy peace. Jesus has overcome the world!
The thief cometh not, but for to
steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
(John 10:10, KJV)
Undoubtedly
there will be problems and afflictions, and the thief will try to rob you
and destroy you, but you have been destined, by the Love your Father
God has for you, to always come out more than a conqueror in every
circumstance and thus achieve a Full and Abundant Life; you have been destined
to realize that Life God always planned for you, that Life worth living:
Eternal Life.
Remember that this year is your year of Splendor.
Let’s pray out loud:
Beloved God, You are the
creator of heaven and earth, of everything visible and invisible. I want to tell
You that I am very grateful for what You have done
for me. Thank You, Lord! You are my Father and I am Your Child! Lord Jesus,
because of what You did on the cross, I can now come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that I may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. The
Almighty is my Daddy! I will not fear, I will only believe! Because of You,
Jesus Christ, and only because of
You, I am a Born Again Child of God.
I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people
for You, my God; that I should shew forth the praises of him who hath called me
out of darkness into his marvellous light; I (your name here) who in
time past was nobody, but am now a Child of the only living and true God; I
(your name here) who had not obtained mercy, but now, through Christ
Jesus, have obtained Your mercy. I have the Eternal Life that You bought
for me and I am going to live it, and I am going to live it fully
and
abundantly.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord
is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even
mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and
fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though
war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. In the name of Jesus.
Amen.
Important Note:
How do I become a Child of God? How do I establish a relationship with the
Almighty?
Just say the following prayer
aloud, putting all your attention
and heart into what you are saying to God:
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of
God. That You came into this world, born
of the virgin Mary, to pay for all my sins, and I have
been a sinner. Therefore, today I say that I accept. I accept Your
sacrifice on the cross! I accept Your precious
Blood shed to the last drop out of love for me! I open my
heart to You and invite You in
because I want, Lord Jesus, that from today and forever You be my only and sufficient Savior, my
God, my King, and my Lord.
Thank You, Almighty God, because with this
simple prayer and profession of faith I have passed from death to Life, I have been transferred from darkness
to Your marvelous Light. Today I have been Born Again! God, now I am Your
Child! Now You are my Father! I will never be alone again! I will never live
defeated again. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Three Recommendations:
What just happened by you recognizing Jesus Christ as the Lord and
Savior of your life, according
to God's Word, is that you have been Born Again. No longer
as an ordinary human being, subject to the law of sin and death, but now as a
legitimate and authentic Child of God, Born Again, exactly like Jesus Christ, who is now your Older Brother. Therefore,
I give you these three, very important, recommendations:
1.
Pray. Praying is talking with God. So, find a quiet
place where you can begin talking to Him about everything. Do it out loud, and you will notice
how God always responds to your heart.
2.
Read and meditate
on the Word of God. The Bible
is the Word of God, so
get a Bible and start reading and meditating on it. How do you begin? It’s very simple. Depending on the day,
look up the reading program “The
Bible in One Year” and do the corresponding readings. You can get this program at: Through The Bible In One Year (palabradehonor.org). You will notice
that the program is set up so you can print it as a booklet.
3.
In prayer with God, your Father, look for and join a
Christian church or congregation where the Word of God is taught based
on the Good News, which are
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reading and Meditation on the Word of God
Do these daily readings, and by the end of one year you will have read the
entire Bible.
January 27 Luke 20.1-26
/ Genesis 35-36 / Psalm 27
Luke
20 And it came to pass,
that on one of those days, as he taught
the people in the temple, and preached the gospel,
the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,
2 And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority
doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee
this authority?
3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and
answer me:
4 The baptism
of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying,
If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?
6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people
will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.
7 And they answered, that they could
not tell whence
it was.
8 And Jesus said unto them, Neither
tell I you by what authority I do these things.
9 Then began he to
speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.
10 And at the season
he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they
should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent
him away empty.
11 And again he sent another servant:
and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him
away empty.
12 And again he sent a third:
and they wounded
him also, and cast him out.
13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will
reverence him when they see him.
14 But when the
husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
15 So they cast him out of the vineyard,
and killed him. What therefore
shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?
16 He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard
it, they said, God forbid.
17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone
which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
19 And the chief priests
and the scribes the same hour sought
to lay hands on him; and they
feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against
them.
20 And they watched
him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words,
that so they might deliver
him unto the power and authority of the governor.
21 And they asked him, saying, Master,
we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou
the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:
22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute
unto Caesar, or no?
23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
24 Shew me a penny.
Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered
and said, Caesar's.
25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be
Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.
26 And they could not take hold of his words before the people:
and they marvelled at his
answer, and held their peace.
Genesis
35 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell
there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared
unto thee when thou fleddest
from the face of Esau thy
brother.
2 Then Jacob said
unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange
gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
3 And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar
unto God, who answered
me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which
I went.
4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange
gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their
ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.
5 And they journeyed: and the terror
of God was upon the cities that were
round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.
6 So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan,
that is, Bethel,
he and all the people that
were with him.
7 And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because
there God appeared unto him,
when he fled from the face of his brother.
8 But Deborah,
Rebekah's nurse died, and she was buried
beneath Bethel under an oak:
and the name of it was called Allonbachuth.
9 And God appeared unto Jacob again,
when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him.
10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall
not be called any more
Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.
11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation
and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
12 And the land which
I gave Abraham and Isaac,
to thee I will give it, and to
thy seed after thee will I give the land.
13 And God went up from him in the place where
he talked with him.
14 And Jacob set up a pillar
in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink
offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel.
16 And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to
Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.
17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife
said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father
called him Benjamin.
19 And Rachel died, and was buried
in the way to Ephrath,
which is Bethlehem.
20 And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave:
that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day.
21 And Israel
journeyed, and spread
his tent beyond
the tower of
Edar.
22 And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and
lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of
Jacob were twelve:
23 The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob's
firstborn, and Simeon,
and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun:
24 The sons of Rachel;
Joseph, and Benjamin:
25 And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's
handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali:
26 And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's
handmaid: Gad, and Asher: these are the sons
of Jacob, which were born to him in Padanaram.
27 And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and
Isaac sojourned.
28 And the days of Isaac were an hundred
and fourscore years.
29 And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto his people, being old and full of days: and
his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.
36 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
2 Esau took his
wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite,
and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
3 And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister
of Nebajoth.
4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz;
and Bashemath bare Reuel;
5 And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the
land of Canaan.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons
of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which
he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of
his brother Jacob.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not
bear them because of their cattle.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites
in mount Seir:
10 These are the names of Esau's
sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the
wife of Esau.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and
Kenaz.
12 And Timna was concubine
to Eliphaz Esau's
son; and she bare to Eliphaz
Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath,
and Zerah, Shammah,
and Mizzah: these were the
sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter
of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
15 These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz
the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke
Zepho, duke Kenaz,
16 Duke Korah,
duke Gatam, and duke Amalek:
these are the dukes that came
of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.
17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's
son; duke Nahath,
duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel
in the land of Edom; these are
the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.
18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam,
duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah,
Esau's wife.
19 These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite,
who inhabited the land; Lotan, and
Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
21 And Dishon,
and Ezer, and Dishan: these
are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
22 And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister
was Timna.
23 And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan,
and Manahath, and Ebal,
Shepho, and Onam.
24 And these are the
children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his
father.
25 And the children of Anah were these; Dishon,
and Aholibamah the daughter
of Anah.
26 And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan,
and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
27
The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan,
and Zaavan, and Akan.
28 The children
of Dishan are these; Uz, and Aran.
29 These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal,
duke Zibeon, duke Anah,
30 Duke Dishon,
duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of
Seir.
31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children
of Israel.
32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33 And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned
in his stead.
34 And Jobab
died, and Husham
of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.
35 And Husham
died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the
field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
36 And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned
in his stead.
37 And Samlah
died, and Saul of Rehoboth
by the river reigned in his stead.
38 And Saul died, and Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned
in his stead.
39 And Baalhanan
the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and
the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter
of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
40 And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their
families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
42
Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
43 Duke Magdiel,
duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according
to their habitations in the
land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.
Psalm
27 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I
be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies
and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against

4 One thing
have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the
beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his
temple.
5 For in the time of trouble
he shall hide me in his pavilion:
in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall
set me up upon a rock.
6 And now shall
mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy
also upon me, and
answer me.
8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee,
Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither
forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother
forsake me, then the
LORD will take me up.
11 Teach me thy way, O
LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because
of mine enemies.
12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies:
for false witnesses
are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13 I had fainted, unless
I had believed to see the goodness
of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine
heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
